You slowly walk forward and put your hands on the mirror as well. He mouths something.
"Oh, I guess you can't hear me, can you?" you say, "Aish that's a stupid question hold on" You hold up one finger to let him know you'll be right back. He nods, now smiling, and now that he is, you can't help but notice he kind of looks like a rabbit.
You run to your bedside table and grab your handy dream book. You flip to a blank page and write,
Is this backwards?
He shakes his head no. You then write,
How did you get in there
He shrugs, then mimes writing, then shrugs again. Through limited conversation with you writing and him using body language, you deduct that he can't interact with anything in the mirror. You write out:
Do you get lonely in there?
His eyes light up, and he shakes his head. He then points to himself and holds up the number 7.
There are seven versions of you?
He shakes his head no. He points to himself with the number 1 then makes a plus sign, then holds up the number six.
There are six more people in there?
He nods, excited now that you are catching on.
Can you get them?
He nods again, then points to his wrist indicating that it will take time.
Oh ok. How long about?
He thinks a bit then holds up a 2.
2 minutes?
He shakes his head.
Hours?
Again he shakes his head.
Days?
Finally he nods.
See you in two days then.
He gives you two thumbs up then walks out from in front of the mirror to the side. Then he disappears. You gasp and try to search to see where he went, but it appeared that he actually disappeared.
"No way I'm getting to sleep now" you say to yourself. Guess all you can do now is wait and see who else is hiding in your mirror, but what if it's not only your mirror but all mirrors? A thought occurs to you, what if they can see into bathroom mirrors? You shudder. Note to self: remove all bathroom mirrors. That settled, you fall into anticipating sleep.
