Darkness ahead (book 1 Of Darkness Ahead)

Chapter 6

Arthur groaned as he felt the heat from the sun on his face. His eyes slowly started to open and as he did he saw Darkness, asleep.

"She looks so peaceful." Arthur thought to himself but he knew he shouldn't be starring at Darkness cause she may have a boyfriend although, he had to admit she was beautiful. Her pale skin lit up as the sun's light hit it and her jet black hair with dark gray tips fell on the side of her face. He got up, grabbed his clothes and walked into the bathroom to get dressed.

A few minutes later and Arthur came out of the bathroom in his normal clothes. He was sorting out his cufflinks when he saw Darkness starting to wake up and then her eyes flow open.

"Morning." Arthur said as he smiled at her.

"Morning." She replied while yawning and rubbing the sleep away from her gray coloured eyes.

"You look tired, didn't you get enough sleep last night?" Arthur was concerned for Darkness.

"Don't worry about it, I'm use to it by now." Darkness said as she stood up from the sofa. Her PJs were the colour of a light gray with parts of it white.

"I need to go to my room to get some fresh clean clothes." Darkness explained as she walked out of the room to go to her room. Arthur thought Darkness was not getting enough sleep because of something but what?

He walked into the kitchen where Lonnie, Icy and Titanium was trying to write on something... It looked like a card.

"Umm... What are you guys doing?" Arthur asked with both curiosity and confusion.

"Shit!" Icy shouted as she tried to hide the card as best as she could.

"Oh... Arthur... Hi." Lonnie paused after saying one word. Icy fell to the floor in extortion.

"Don't scare me like that!" She hissed, "I'm easily scared." She ran her hand through icy blue coloured hair.

"Sorry, I just wondered what you guys were doing." Arthur walked up to Icy to see if she was OK. "Here, let me help you up." Arthur was about to help her up but Titanium beat him to that.

"Thanks but I think Titanium has it covered." Icy smiled at Arthur and then at Titanium, who helped her up with one of his hands at her waist.

"So... What were you guys doing?" Arthur scratched his head.

"Well, it's Yuki's birthday and we are just writing her a card... Would you like to put your name on it." Lonnie placed the pen in front of Arthur, he picked it up and wrote his name on the card. He got one of his hands into his back pocket and grabbed a ten pound note then put it into the card.

"Wow, that's nice of you." Titanium sounded shocked that Arthur wouldn't get her anything just because he wasn't told beforehand that it was Yuki's birthday.

"Oh, thank you for bring some of my things down, Lonnie." Arthur ignored Titanium's comment.

"You're welcome." She gave him a friendly smile. Then Darkness entered the room.

"Sup?" She yawned. She was dressed into a gray crop top, black joggers and white trainers.

"Hey, would you like some tea or coffee?" Icy said.

"Coffee, please." Darkness scratched her head as Icy passed her a cup of coffee, Darkness looked at the coffee, picked up the cup and turned it upsidedown but nothing came out!

"You iced the cup." Darkness said as she placed the cup onto the counter.

"Oh, sorry." Icy apologized.

"Don't wrong about it." Darkness smiled.

"Are you sure?" Icy asked as if she was offering to make another one.

"You can make another if you want" Darkness sat that the table and banged her head on it but she didn't scream or shout in pain. She had done it before plenty of times so she was use to the pain.

"Are you OK?" Arthur asked.

"No, I'm fucking tired." She swore as she raise her head and placed her head in her hands.

"Not enough sleep?" Lonnie asked as she placed more money into the card and put it into the envelop.

"You bet." Darkness covered her face with her hands.

"You want to talk about it?" Icy said as she passed Darkness another cup of coffee.

"I would like to talk to Master Ryuk about it." Darkness stood up, grabbed her cup of coffee and walked into the living that was brunt by Lilly and only to see Byakuya on the sofa. Icy, Arthur, Titanium and Lonnie followed behind.

"Hey." Was all Darkness said about to Byakuya.

"Hello." He said, he was reading a book called Magic for all which is a book about everyone with magic.

"How's Lilly?" Darkness on the sofa opposite Byakuya, she looked up at the ceiling and saw that it was patched up.

"Good, the doctor said that she will heal within a few days." He explained and Darkness sighed in relief.

"That's good to hear." And Byakuya nodded as he folded the edge of his page and closed his book.

"I heard that you had trouble sleeping last night." Byakuya sounded like Arthur when he saw her as she woke up, concerned.

"It's fine, just... Don't wrong about me." Darkness insisted that they would stop fussing over her but they wouldn't.

"Do you need Laxus?" Byakuya asked and Darkness glared at him.

"What's it to you?!" She snapped.

"Because we all know your true feelings for him!" Byakuya shouted at her.

"Just because I don't like you in that way, doesn't mean you can give me shit!" She shouted back.

"Might I ask who is Laxus?" Arthur's soft voice said as everyone turned to look at him.

"I'm out!" Darkness shouted as she walked out of the room.

"Laxus is Master Ryuk's grandson and Darkness's love interest." Titanium explained. "He also likes Darkness." As soon as he said that, Baykuya jumped up and wrapped his hand around Arthur's throat.

"Let him go!" Icy, Lonnie and Titanium shouted at the same time while trying to get Byakuya off Arthur.

"Do you have an interest in Darkness?!" Byakuya hissed and Arthur couldn't breath properly.

"No." Arthur answered but before he could let go, someone punched him.
