♤ Chapter 2 ♤

I sigh traveling through the thick of the tree tops. I'm only on this stupid trip to steal that Crystal and leave. But they had to get distracted by ridiculous parties.

Foolish..

If I didn't know better, the chance of them abandoning the mission all together is quite high. By which I don't mind. The Guild provided me quite well, for they are no longer needed.

The only issue is finding a place to stay. The guild will no doubt want revenge for failure, but to be honest, they are nothing compared to us.

Though are team seems unreliable, we are or where rather, the strongest in the guild. My worry is finding a place of residence.

Of course there is the Kingdom of Phoenix Drop, but I personally don't think I'll like it. To... cheerful and it reminds me of... nevermind. But honestly, I fear I have no choice.

I walk back through the gates, watching everyone prepare for the festivities tonight. I sigh and continue walking by before stopped by a fire-headed woman, slightly taller than I.

She continuously stared at me, slightly freaking me out but mostly annoyed. "Can I help you?" She smiles wide, "I'm Cadenza! I'm Laurence's sister and the fashion designer of the kingdom!"

I stare confused. "Alright.. and you stopped me why?" "Because! Your my perfect model! " "Wha-Gah! H-Hey!" She continues to drag me rambling about perfect and clothes.

"What are you talking about! " She silently turns to me smiling. "Look um.." "G" "G. You may seem mysterious and mabye even scary, but I don't believe that's you."

My eyes widen quite shocked. Most people just assumed I was like this. That I'm some heartless person who has never been happy. But she, she's different. "Y-Your - " "You don't have to talk about it if your not ready stupid. But I'm here alright?"

I nod slightly and she nudges me. "Now let's get you ready for the party!" "I'm not attending... " "What! No way! Your totally going! It's your first Phoenix Drop celebration. I'm not going to let you miss it!"

I sigh, "Are you always this way?" "Yes, now come on! I got the perfect thing!" She pushed me in some changing room tosses me clothing. "Try these! And don't worry, I'm sure you'll look great!"

I sigh putting on a tux with a dark blue tie, like the bandana draped over my eyes. I walk out and she frowns. "What!? I'm wearing the stupid thing!" "Yeah but something's wrong..." She stands over me tugging my hood away. "H-Hey! I need that! "

"Hmm, blonde.. unexpected but cute! " I glare slightly. " Why did you-" "Look, if you're gonna have people trust you, you gotta loose the hood and the bandana. " I growl and sigh frustrated, though she has a fair point. "Fine, but the bandana stays."

"Hmm, fine! Now come on! Let's go!"

Cadenza had left awhile ago to dance which left me to prepare myself. I wasn't the type of person who actually liked talking to others. I just sit back and watch myself. Can never be too careful.

But now since I'm forced to attend, I might as well watch out for the guild. They should be on their way by now, and I don't think they'll be to happy. Best to keep my guard up.
