Chapter Twenty

Jasmine POV

"You love kicking your mommy don't you?" I said while rubbing my stomach. Which I don't understand why because my stomach is huge so it should have enough room to stretch. The kicking soon stopped like usual. He or she would continue doing it until I started rubbing my stomach.

Today makes 7 months so I wanted the reveal to happen today. I'm happy the gender reveal is finally here so I can stop calling my baby he/she. I'm ready to pick out clothes, furniture, decorate the room, and mostly importantly decide on a name.

     Right now Lauren is the only one that knows the gender and the main one that put the party together. She knows I basically have no communication with anyone in my family anymore so she said she'll make up for it and for that i'm so grateful to have her as a friend.

      Me and JT are somewhat getting back on track I guess you can say. He's been suspiciously real nice and secretive at the same time and I really haven't cared to find out the reason why.

       "Knock knock!" Lauren said while opening the bedroom door. "Are you almost ready?" I looked up from struggling to put my shoes on and nodded my head. "Yep, I just have to put my necklace on and switch purses." Lauren started smiling hard and clapping her hands. "Owww, I'm so excited like I'm having the baby." I could only laugh at her
      "You look nice though L." I said taking in her appearance. She had on some ripped light blue skinny jeans, a shirt she made for the reveal that said 'is it a girl or boy?' that was half pink and half blue, with some all white sneakers. "Thank siiissss. I see you're wearing your blue."
        Lauren told me and Jt to wear the color shirt of the gender we think the baby is going to be. I always wanted a boy first so of course I wore blue. "Jt and Emmett have on pink but Jay is on your side and has on blue also."
         "Jay already knows wassup." I said grabbing my bag. "Okay, I'm ready." I said walking towards the door.
         "Yay! Guys she's ready!" Lauren said yelling while going down the stairs. The boys were all sitting on the couch looking at a basketball game. "Get y'all asses up and come on." she said turning the tv off. "Yoooo bro! Man Jay get yo girl na." Travis said snatching the remote back.
           "Come on bruh before you get left." Emmett said.
          Everybody got in with who they were riding with and headed to the lake house we rented for today. When we pulled up a bunch of cars where already there with many people standing outside and inside waiting on us. "Way more people than what I thought it would be. Your family is big Jt." I said. Part of me wishes the circumstances were different so my family could also be here to celebrate with us. I felt Jt hand touch my thigh. "My family is your family too baby." he said kissing me on the forehead. I just gave him a small smile. "Let's go find out the gender of our baby, baby daddy." I said hopping out the car.
          After meeting so many of Jt family members,  smiling, and all this walking around I was done with this party. Then I still haven't found out what my baby is. "Uhhh Lauren." she looked at me while eating. "When am I going to find out?" she just started smiling. "I remember you telling me you wanted something you wouldn't expect. Soooo why would I tell you when it's gonna happen? Silly flower." she said using the name Jt calls me. "I hate you. I really do."
             A couple minutes later the music stopped and the lights dimmed. It was getting dark outside so there was barely any natural light coming in. Pink and blue lights started flashing and everyone was looking around confused. Then Lauren came on the little stage in the house. "Jas and JT are you ready to find out the gender of your special little one?"
              "FINALLY!" I yelled. Causing a few people to laugh. "Come on Ms. Impatient" Lauren said. "Everyone go outside!" she yelled in the mic.
            Once everyone got outside Lauren started to explain what was happening next. "So as you can see we have all of these big black boxes. What Jas and Jt have to do is find their baby gender. In the box there will be smoke and balloons that will come out and reveal the gender. Are y'all ready?" She said looking at us. "Hell yeah I'm ready." Jt said smiling hard.
            "3.....2......1....GO." Me and Jt stared lifting every box top as fast as we could. There was at least 20 boxes and Lauren is so childish for that." After 20 seconds Jt shook a box "Jas come over here." I walked over as fast as my big ass could. "This the one?" I asked looking at him. "Gotta be, sounds like something in here." 
              "We'll do it at the same time then. 1...2...3."
           Me and Jt lift the top up and blue balloons started to come out with pink smoke. "It's a boy." I yelled. I started to jump up and down. "I got what I wanted" I said doing a little dance.
            "Hold up, hold up, hold up..." Jt said looking at Lauren. "You said the balloons and the smoke would tell the gender....the balloons blue and the smoke is pink."
            Lauren started smiling. "Turn around." We followed instructions to see Jay and Emmett unraveling a sign going opposite directions.

"How is that for something you weren't expecting?" Lauren said. Then all I heard was something hitting the box and Jt on the ground.
