Pink's POV:

"Harry, I don't think I can do this." I grabbed his arm.

"Pink, you're overreacting. Twenty-four hours ago you guys were best friends. You made an assumption about something you heard, and you need to let Niall talk to you. It's a bit ridiculous."

I sighed. "I know. I just don't know how to apologize."

"Apologize for what?"

"For being me." I said quietly. "I tend to screw things up."

Harry grabbed my hand. "Pink, you're a beautiful girl. And you shouldn't compromise any of you for any one else." He enveloped me in a hug and I smiled.

"Thanks Harry. Now let's dance."

♥ ♥ ♥

I spent the rest of the night with Harry, dancing and laughing. No matter how stupid I sounded, or how dumb I managed to make myself look, he never had a second thought about being there with me.

We stood outside of the building on the balcony, soft music floating out into the warm summer air. Harry handed me a small glass of sparkling champagne, and we stood together in silence.

"Look, Pink. I really think you should make up with Niall."

I groaned. "Harry, I don't want to."

"I didn't mean you need to right now, but soon. He's your best friend."

"Right. Best friend." I whispered.

Harry put down his glass and grabbed my face in his hands.

"Listen to me. Everything will be alright." He spoke quietly.

He leaned in and slowly kissed me softly.

"Everything?" I asked, looking up into his emerald eyes.

"Everything."

"Hey Harry, Simon said he needs to talk to us about-" Zayn bounded onto the balcony, catching us in mid-kiss. "Uh, I guess I'll tell him you're busy."

"No, Zayn, it's not what it looks like-" Harry said.

"Well, it looks like you're kissing your girlfriend." Zayn wouldn't look at Harry. "There's nothing wrong with that." Without giving Harry another glance, Zayn walked off.

"I'll be right back," I said to Harry and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Zayn," I called. "Zayn, wait up!"

With that, Zayn sped up and continued further down the hall. I quickly slipped off my heels and jogged to catch up with him.

"Zayn, is something wrong?"

"No." Zayn looked down at the floor.

"Zayn."

He was silent.

"Zayn. Zayn. Zayn. Zayn-"

"Fine, fine. Jesus Christ you're annoying." He sighed.

"Well?"

"Niall likes you-" He clamped his hand over his mouth and his hazel eyes grew large.

I felt myself stagger, even though I was barefoot. "N-Niall?"

"And Harry knows he likes you-" Zayn slapped himself. "Zayn, shut up!" He scolded himself.

"Hey, Z, you coming?" I heard Niall's voice call up from the bottom of the staircase.

"Uh, I gotta go." I ran down the staircase, and pass a surprised Niall.

"Hey, Pink, I wanna talk to you!" Niall yelled. I ran faster, scurrying through crowds of ballgowns and black suits.

"Pink!" Someone yanked me back by my elbow. I came to face-to-face with Niall. His blue eyes searched my face. "Pink, I wanted to talk to you-" I continued to walk, my elbow like a leash, leading a certain blonde-haired Irish boy. "Pink, what has gotten into you?"

I whipped around. "You know what's "gotten into me"? The fact that I actually liked you, and you go around lying to me that you're dating someone else and why didn't you just tell me that you didn't like me and it's just so stupid, if it's about managment then-" Niall cut me off by pressing his lips to mine.

"Will you shut up now?" He asked quietly while grinning.

"N-Niall, I kinda already-"

"Now, I get it that you signed that contract with Harry, but we can definitely sneak around and Harry-"

"Niall!" He looked at me and stopped rambling. "I like Harry."

Niall's eyes widened and he gulped. "You like him?"

I nodded.

"Shit, this is worse than I thought." Niall ran his hand through his hair.

"But, Niall I like you too, it's just you're a bit unstable right now, and the whole Demi thing, plus I'm "dating" Harry, so it's just easier-"

"Yeah, it's "easier" to date Harry." Niall huffed.

"Niall, listen to me-"

"Fuck off, Pink."
