Chapter five

•Hayes Pov•

She has been waiting of an hour now. I'm gonna fake date her. She is gonna be really in love with me and them i break her heart. I make sure she sees me with another girl.

"Why are you doing this to Olivia?" Lindsay asks while sitting down on the couch next to me.

"Why not?! She hurt both of us! She is gonna keep hurting people until she knows how it feels!" I yell.

"But hayes, she has gone through enough. Sydney and i practically almost killed her. And I hate myself for that. Just let it go," she says.

"No."

"I'm not just going to let it go. She broke my heart. And I want to return the favor." I whisper.

"I know I agreed to do this but now that I see you like this, I don't know," she says.

"Lindsay. Are you going to help me or not," i question.

"Hayes, just stop. Why do you want to do this so badly? She doesn't deserve this!" She shouts.

"Because Lindsay! If you aren't helping me then I'm going to Sydney!" I scream.

"Fine. Because I'm not hurting Olivia. I've changed. I'm not the same anymore. You have changed too. You have changed into the evil dick head!" She barks at me.

"Whatever Lindsay. I don't need you to help me!" I say heading out the door.

She grabs my arm,"Please dont do this. You're better then this," she whispers.

I yank my arm from her grip and leave. Let's go get Sydney.

Her door opens and I see Sydney. She's the same as before. Nothing of her appearance has changed.

"Hayes?" She says.

"Hey, umm can I talk to you?" I ask and she nods.

She moves out of the way and I walk inside.

"Is anyone home?" I question.

"No, why?" She whispers. I smile at her.

We sit down on the couch," so, whats up?" She replies.

"I need some help..with a girl," i smile devilishly. She smirks at me. "Really? Does this girl have a name?" She asks.

"Ohhh, it's an old friend of yours. Really old," i start.

"Olivia," i finish and her smiles grows even bigger. "I'm in," she says more serious.

"Okay, time for your date with Olivia," Sydney reminds. "You ready to fall in love again?" she says.

"Yes," i respond.

"Remember act romantic. You need her to really love you," she demands.

"Yeah whatever. I'm leaving now. Don't sleep with anyone while I'm gone!" I laugh.

"Ha ha real funny," she says sarcastically and then shoves me out the door.

We're gonna hangout near the lake we used to go to everyday.

It's not a far walk so I get there in about five minutes.

I see her. Sitting on the dock with her feet in the water. The moon making her look like her face is glowing.

I walk over to her and kick off my shoes. I sit down and stick my feet in the lake.

"I thought you weren't gonna show up..like earlier this morning," she says staring at the water.

"I said I was sorry. I had to do chores," i snap at her. Shit, stop hayes.

"Yeah whatever,hayes," she replies and I can see her rolling her eyes.

"Look at me," i demand and she moves her head to look at me.

"I'm sorry for not showing up earlier. I really am. I wanted to show up. And tell you that I was sorry for saying all those things to you," i say more sweetly.

"Okay," she whispers and then starts staring at the lake again.

I put my arm around her and she cuddles into my side. "I missed this," I say.

"I did too," she says bluntly. I need to convince her. She has to fall in love with me. If she doesn't the plan wont happen.

This is the biggest step.

I don't feel like he is telling the truth.

He doesn't love me. He cant.

Do I love him?

We have been laughing and telling jokes. It was like the old times. When I mean the old times i mean when we were best friends not together. When we were in love, he made me feel like I was special. Like i was the only one.

I check the time on my phone. '10:49p.m.'

"It's getting late, i think I should be heading back to the apartment," I say.

"Yeah okay," he responds and we both stand up.

We hug for about four seconds and he lets go.

•Hayes Pov•

Kiss her. We need to show her that I love her. I need this plan to go through.

I lean in and our lips touch.

Sparks.Electricity shoots through my veins. I haven't had this feeling in forever.

I'm shocked. How? How do I feel this?

I-I still love her.

•Olivia's Pov•

He kissed me.

It was different. It felt different from when he kissed me when we were in love.

This one is like he was forced too. It didn't feel right.

I didn't like the kiss either.

I stared into his eyes. No sparkle. He doesn't love me. This was all a lie.

"I love you," he says.

"Really?"i ask.

"Because I don't love you,"
