And I decided it was enough

You were not there

When I handled myself
When I rose and fell and rose again

And yet you are here
When I'm finally at peace
With what I'm doing
With how things turned up
With my failures and success

What you don't get
Is now, I don't need you anymore
To hold me when I'm crying
To boost me when I'm low
To get through tough times

Because you were the one
Who taught me how to live
My life to the fullest
With no regret of yesterday
With no worry of tomorrow
Just savouring my today.
