It was the Winters Ball and everyone was there. No one caught my eye, until one man walked into the room. He had deep, dark, intelligent eyes and a hunger pane frame ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). I saw his eyes meet mine. He walked over to me and smiled.
"You strike me as a woman who has never been satisfied."
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean. You forget yourself."
We talked for two maybe three minutes and I knew he was the one for me. I walked away from him with a grin on my face, but then I saw Eliza, she was staring at him with hearts in her eyes. She grabbed my arm and whispered, 'this ones mine.' The grin on my face washed away. I stared at her then walked over to Alexander. I brought him over to Eliza, she bowed and they talked for a while. That was a mistake. They looked at each other helplessly.
**TIME SKIP**
Two weeks later, my father and Eliza and Alexander were in the living room. When I walked in, Eliza ran up to me.
"WE'RE ENGAGED!" I faked a smile and hugged Eliza. After a while, I couldn't bear it any-longer. I walked away and the rest of them went outside, I went up to my room and watched them from below. Tears started to pour from my eyes. I sat on the floor and covered my face with my hands. At least my dear Eliza's his wife. At least I keep his eyes in my life...
