I wish for a connection

One so deep

One so profound

That I can understand you

Without a sound.

I wish

That a look would be all it took

For me to understand you.

I desire a connection so rich

So vivid

That the world could not define it.

A connection based in familiarity

A connection built in trust.

Not built on shallow emotion

Or psychical contact

But formulated by a love so deep

That the oceans would pale in contrast.

I desire to care for you

Be there when you need someone.

I wish to live my life placing you before me

Because that is truly what love is.
