I am Lieutenant Navaryl Comsorden, or at least the position's in need, for now. I lead the 23rd battalion of the once-glorified Confederacy. After General Duke's been battered, well we set our ways instead of searching another owner to be bound again collars — not to be taken literally. Antiga's been destroyed, or 'purified' by some mothership of the Protoss — a highly advanced alien race, far within the Koprulu sector. During the cataclysmic disaster we set aboard on a Hercules transport ship to evacuate on Korhal, the most heavily defended core terran world or alternately, Home of the Lost Children. But we were interrupted by Zerg flyers, gladly most of them seem to skitter to Antiga rather than attack us. A psi emitter was planted, attracting zerg and destroying colony cities and kill every terran living. We set on a remote satellite, one of Antiga's moons. From a distance we watched as the planet exploded, the land itself breaking apart. Annihilation can be seen almost everywhere, fringe worlds dying, some obliterated single-handedly by Protoss motherships. Wish those khaydarin crystals will be taken out of their center by some zerg devourer or guardian. But some pieces of Antiga's now broken continents still float out of space, not to think of it devoid of life. There might be survivors. We decided to encamp on one. Our arrival was on a piece of junkyard, a morose bar, and a heavily destroyed outpost. The troops left in my custody rebuilt these back, especially the outpost which was crucial in our survival.
Back in the days, when I was still joining the Ghost Program, the scientists there made optical implants on every ghost, enhanced our mobility skills. But there is a destructive flaw in that prison; every time a ghost has done a mission the scientists will erase every memory of that mission, like part of starting anew. But it won't forget people, the ones you know, you cared for, and loved. I knew only a few ghosts. November Terra or "Nova" as she preferred had her loyalties to the dominion. Gabriel Tosh had gone rogue and became a spectre. And Taryen, well my boyfriend who is bullshit as ever. He died fighting on Char! He sacrificed his life to cripple all those damn broods that belonged to the Overmind. Sarah Kerrigan who is betrayed by Emperor Arcturus and betrayed the whole galaxy by remaking herself as the Queen of Blades, the queen of all zerg! I cannot blame her, or anyone for this wretched blade that pierced my heart, and hope. I lost everything. In this forsaken desert.
And now I must find a new meaning, a new beginning.
But not until I ensure that I find him and hunt him down.
