Leksi blinked her eyes, once, twice, and a third time before our position finally registered in her mind. With a groan, she pushed her hands against mine, but it was to no avail. The girl was tiny compared to me and there was no way in hell she would be strong enough to push my weight off of her, so I purposely dropped my body onto hers.
"What are you doing?" she gasped again.
"Lex, look at me," I whispered, but she continued fighting. With my other hand, I cupped her cheek within my palm and held her head still, "Dammit, just look at me."
When her eyes finally fell on mine-emerald against sapphire-she pressed her lips into a thin line and inhaled a shallow breath.
"What were you thinking about?" I questioned, still cupping her cheek.
Leksi shook her head as her defense. She clearly didn't want to talk about it, but I wasn't letting her get away until she confessed her every thought and desire.
"Tell me, Leksi," I sighed, gently stroking the pad of my thumb across her cheekbone.
Her body gave a small shudder under mine and her eyes shut again in a long blink. When she finally opened them, her lips were quivering and her heart was pounding loudly against my chest.
"Me?" I tried to start her off, but she wasn't going to speak. She merely nodded her head once before blinking back tears of embarrassment. But there wasn't anything to be embarrassed about. On the contrary, I was rather relieved that it wasn't just I that was lusting for someone, and the thought alone brought a wide grin to my face.
"Lex, open your eyes. It's okay."
Leksi shook her head once again, biting her lip roughly.
"Stop that," I pulled her lower lip from between her teeth, "You're gonna make yourself bleed."
"Sarah's gonna kill me," she whimpered.
"Sarah's not going to do anything because nobody here is going to tell Sarah, right?"
"You're crazy. I can't lie to her."
"Lex, it's only a crush you have towards me, right? You don't have to tell her."
"W-What about you?" she scowled, "What do you feel?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh don't play stupid, now. The way you said my name earlier and how you grabbed my thighs, not to mention this right now!"
"SHH!" I shushed, glancing at the doorway quickly. "It's a crush, okay?" But it was more than just a crush. This girl was driving me wild with every second. Her playful attitude, vibrant ways, and beauty were a triple threat to be reckoned with.
"So...," she pondered, "What's going to happen?"
Even if I wanted to tell her that I wanted her lips, her touch, and her heart, I couldn't. It would probably scare her off and I'd lose any chance of ever winning her over.
"Nothing," I sighed, pulling away, "Nothing's going to happen."
Leksi pressed her eyelids tightly for a moment before nodding, "Okay."
It was only then that I finally ripped my body away from hers-reluctantly, at that. Her warm skin felt so good against mine and the scent of sea salt mixed with her natural fragrance was oddly comforting.
"You should get back," she whispered, sitting up, "Sarah's probably looking for you."
"Are you kicking me out already?" I joked, but she looked up at me with serious eyes.
