I run out of the run. He cares. But I don't want him right now. I mean what he did really hurt me. Why cant this day be over so I can go home? Well, at least it is lunch.
"Tris!" I hear someone call from behind me. I don't stop, but I do slow down so he can catch up. It is Kyle.
"Oh hey." I say casually.
"Ready for lunch?" he asks.
"Yeah just be warned. My friends can be....strange." I warn.
"Well they cant be that strange." Kyle laughs and we get to the cafeteria. After we get our food we go to the table and everyone is already there.
"Guys this is Kyle. He is new here. Well I know him from my old school." I say."Kyle this is Christina,Will, Uriah, Marlene, Lynn, and Shauna." I say purposely leaving out Tobias.
"Who is he?" Kyle asks pointing at Tobias.
"Get your finger out of my face before I rip it off." Tobias threatens and Kyle backs up.
"That is Four." I say coldly. Tobias looks at me sadly.
"Do I have to sit by him he kind of scares me." Kyle says quietly and I laugh.
"Pansycake." Uriah mumbles.
"What was that?" Kyle asks giving Uriah a death glare.
"Nothing." Uriah sinks in his chair. Kyle sits beside me. At one point he tries and put his arm around me. I glare at him.
"What?" he asks like it is nothing.
"Bye." I stand and throw away my uneatable food and go out of the cafeteria.
Christina is next out. She tuns out after me but I run out of the building and sit on the steps. She sits next to me.
"What's wrong Tris?" She asks.
"Everything is wrong." I admit.
"Everything?" she asks.
"Yes. I moved go forget and now he is back."
"What Kyle? What's wrong with him?"
"Its a long story."
"I have time."
I sigh and tell her the story.
FLASHBACK
I walk down the hallway with his arm around my waist and his leather jacket on my shoulders. We walk like we own the school and we basically do. We are the most popular people. Today we are getting a new girl. Roumor has it is that she is a model. That doesn't sit well in my stumach because I know he is a player. I was lucky to be with hhim for the two month we have been dating.
"I love you babe." He says when he drops me off at my class.
"I love you too." I always answer. I thought I did at that point.
After class I meet him in our usual spot but this time he has another girl, the new girl, wrapped around his finger. I go over to him. "Kyle?" I ask not crying. I must not show weakness.
"Oh Tris. Its over." That's all he says. I run off the other way, heart broken and feeling useless.
NORMAL TIME
"Oh I see." Christina says softly.
"And now he is back and I think he wants me back." I say,holding back tears.
"But you are engaged."
"I don't even know about that." As if on cue that Blondel comes by.
"Oh its you." She says rudely.
"I have a name." I say,trying to not attack.
"And that is?"
"Tris."
"Oh well that changes everything."
"Really?"
"Nope."
"And who are you?"
"My name is Epic."
"Is that like a nickname or something?"
"No."
I finally get a good look at her. She has blonde hair and brown eyes. She is wearing skinny jeans and a shirt that says love on it. "You seem stupid." I say plainly.
"Why?" she asks
"You kissed my finance."
"And how does that make me stupid?"
"You don't do that!" Now I am standing. "You don't do that to a person. Do you want that to happen to you? No you don't! So why do it to others? Because you are stupid!" I yell.
"No its because Four loves me not you. What does he see in you? You are not pretty or anything."
"Four doesn't love people who throw themselves at them. And he loves me because we have chemistry and a past! You,on the other hand, is a girl who came onto my property and kissed my boyfriend. That is random and you ruined everything!"
"You're going to regret this Tris...." she mumbles.
"Regret this? Ha! The only thing I feel is sadness because you made me lose my finance and if I were you I would run before I punch you and ruin your nose job." I growl.
She storms off and Tobias comes by me. "Bea do you forgive me?" he asks.
I take a breath before answering...
