The Earths Princess (Naruto fanfic)

Part 12

*Third person pov* 

Hana was freaking out, not eating she could do. But how would the others fare? She was worried about how they would work together. She laid in bed in her room, Kakashi was outside her room debating whether to knock or not. He needed to ask her more questions, like why it was him that was chosen. If fate had something in store for him. All his life has just been terror and full of mishaps. Was Hana perhaps the one thing god has chosen for him that'd be good. He sighed and leaned his head on the door. His forehead pressed against the wooden structure. 

'I will never abandon you Hana. I swear, you are the one thing I'll protect.' He thought balling his hand into a fist. He was about to turn around and leave. 

"Kakashi?" He heard a soft voice speak through the door. Kakashi stopped turned around and opened the door, slightly peeking his head in he smiled. 

"Yes?" He replied lazily. 

"Can you come sleep with me tonight?" Hana asked. Hana genuinely cared for Kakashi and thought of him like a brother, or a dad. Family. Kakashi was silent for a moment. 

"Okay." He replied, he walked in and closed the door. The moonlight seemed to shine brighter with each step he took. He got under the covers and laid on his back. Hana cuddled into him. 

"Kakashi?" She asked. 

"Hmm?" He replied with one arm over his eyes. 

"Please. . . Please don't leave me. I don't want to go back to sleep forever again. . It was so, so lonely." She shivered into him tears threatening to spill. Kakashi's mouth went a gape, he paused for a moment and then pressed her closer. 

"I won't let you be alone. I promise. I will protect you." He replied staring up at the ceiling. Hana's eyes widen and then she smiled tears pouring out of her eyes. 

"T-thank you. I promise I won't ever let you get lonely." She smiled. Kakashi smiled and let out a content sigh. 

"I know you won't." He replied.

It was the morning, the three genin were waiting at training ground 7 for their sensei and their other team mate. 

"Grr. Where are they?" Naruto growled. 

"THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE AT 5!" Sakura screamed. "I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DO MY HAIR!"

"I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO CHANGE MY UNDERWEAR!" Naruto yelled. Sakura paused. 

"That's just gross."

"Hn."

*WIth Kakashi and Hana* 

Munch, munch. munch. 

"Thanks Kakashi. Breakfast was sure good." Hana smiled.  Kakashi nodded, he glanced over and sweatdropped at all the women following him. 

"Hmm. What time is it?" Kakashi asked. 

"Uhhh." Hana looked up at the sky. "9:45" She concluded. 

". . ."

". . ." 

"9:45!" They both screamed. They both started running towards the training ground. 

"WE'RE 4 HOURS LATE!" Hana screamed. 

"I ONLY INTENDED ON BEING 3 HOURS LATE!" Kakashi yelled. Hana stopped. 

"What?" She asked confused.  Kakashi stopped beside her. 

"I-uhh-"

"Meow-" A cat meowed. The pair looked at the cat, it was black and walking towards them. 

"KITTY!" Hana giggled running after the cat with open arms. She went to pick it up and she held it. Kakashi was sweating bullets.

'Bad luck.' He thought. 

"Come on!" Hana signaled continuing down the path. Kakashi grabbed her arm stopping her. Whoosh, the air blew all dramatic like. 

"I cannot let you continue down this path. It's to dangerous." Kakashi said. 

"But-"

"No. We are taking the long way." He started dragging her. The cat hopped out of Hana's arms. 

"Meow, meow??" Hana asked with her arms open. The cat tilted it's head and meowed, than walked off.
