"Oh shit, oh shit oh shit oh shit!" She screamed, angry at herself for just now realizing what was going on the whole time she met him. Everytime she called him, he was crying. Everytime she held him, he was hurting. Everytime she asked for help, he was the one who needed it. Yet he didn't care. He held back his tears, he dealt with his pain, he didn't call for help. The girl ran outside, out of the house, out of the neighborhood and bolted across suicide street. She didn't care anymore for her life, only his. She heard screeched of tires and brakes but didn't stop to survey the damage she made. She plunged into the forest, past the trees and across the creek. She followed every marker that they both made until she made it to The Pool. After pausing to look at the beauty she sprinted down the side until she made it to the edge of the water. Frantically, she ran around the edge screaming his name. Please... Please be alive... Suddenly, there was rustle behind her. She whirled around to find him laying down next to the tree they climbed for him to take the perfect picture, the tree they climbed when he first took her here. She ran to him, tears streaming down her face.

"Hey.." He whispered, flashing his lopsided grin.

"Why?" She started, looking at his tear-stained face and tired body.

"What do you mean hun?" He started, faking his ignorance.

"You know what I mean! Why?! Why wouldn't you ask for me to do what I asked you?! Why would you hide it?! Why-"

"Because I knew my mind couldn't survive. I'm weak. I'm so weak in fact, that even medicine can't help me. I don't like it, neither would my parents, so I didn't tell them, I didn't tell anyone in fact. But my doctors knew, my friends knew, everyone knew that I wouldn't survive if I kept doing what I was doing. But there was no way I was going to change who I was just to survive. So I amped it up, I helped alot more people, and then I met you." He sat up, looking at the girl in wonder, savoring every second that was this visual embrace.

"And I couldn't stop. You were so beautiful, so smart, so... right. I loved every part of you, even your scars." She knelt down into him, crying her eyes out. Screaming and wailing. He held her, knowing this is going to be one of their last moments. Once her bawling ceased to a whimper, he pulled her up so he could look into her greyish, blue eyes.

"Listen to me," He started. "I'm going to die. I overdosed on my medication and now I'm starting to get tired." He stroked her hair, feeling every fiber of hair before moving his hand to her back.

"You can't die... W-We haven't done that road trip! Or our picnic! We haven't even gone on our first date! We-" He pulled her away, looking at her eyes with such compassion that she couldn't help but stare back. Without a moment of hesitation he kissed her, stopping the world between them two for what felt like eternity. She never wanted this moment to end, and he knew. But eventually, the moment passed, leaving the pair in an unbreakable embrace that would never be forgotten. After moments which felt like hours passed, she brought her lips close to his ear and whispered the one word he has been waiting to hear.

"Forever?"

"Always..." Finally, everything was peaceful. She fell asleep in his arms, and he fell asleep in hers.

The difference is only one of them would wake up.
