So this is one of those chapters that goes along with a song. You might have seen one of these in another fanfic book. So I just hit a great point in my life where I discovered this amazing band called Pierce The Veil. They wrote this song. I can't stop listening to it.

Bulletproof Love by Pierce The Veil (lyric video above)

Prepare yourself, because this is a long one.

I breathe you in with smoke in the backyard lights

Dipper and Pacifica laughed together, laying on their backs in the backyard of the shack, their fingers intertwined together. The meteors above shot by, there and gone in a matter of seconds. Pacifica poured herself some more champagne as the two enjoyed the 2 year anniversary of their first date.

We used to laugh until we choked into the wasted nights

Dipper and Pacifica made a toast. "To another year of happiness" Pacifica declared, and Dipper continued; "May nothing but laughter, love and life come from this year." They raised their glasses high, clinking them together and falling back onto the grass pillow of the earth.

It was the best time of my life, but now I sleep alone

The dream faded and Dipper awoke. He rolled over in his empty bed and softly cried into the pillow. He missed her terribly, but she had left for LA a year ago. She was following her dream, but he was missing his.

He cried himself to sleep that night, just as he had every night since she left. No one but Mabel was aware of all the pain he was going through. Some parts of him hoped she would come back, but other parts of him had shriveled up and died on the possibility.

So don't, don't, don't wake me up, 'cause my thrill is gone

He fell asleep, wet tears drenching the pillow. He was restless the rest of the night, tossing and turning endlessly under the covers. He knew this wasn't healthy for him. He hadn't had a proper night's sleep in weeks. He decided he would try to forget Pacifica.

He woke up the next morning feeling better. He got up and went through his normal morning routine, then went to the kitchen of his small apartment. He made some toast and nuked some microwaveable bacon. He ate slow, trying not to think about Pacifica. When he was done with breakfast, he went through his large bookshelf and threw out all of the photo albums of him and Pacifica. You can't be your own puppet master if the old strings are still attached. He was letting her go, not sure if he could ever get anyone like her again.

Dipper heard a soft knock on the door of his apartment . He answered it, seeing Mabel standing at the entryway. "Oh, hey sis. How are you doing?" Dipper asks, pulling Mabel into an awkward sibling hug.

"I'm doing great, how about you, Sir Dippingsauce?" She giggled. "I'm doing alright. I finally decided I would at least try to get over Pacifica, so hopefully that goes well." Mabel looked down, as though she was trying to hide something. She instantly brightened back up and smiled a huge smile. "Want to come to lunch with me today?" She asked. "Well sure, I guess." Dipper said, "It's 11 now, wanna just stay here and chill until we go?" Mabel nodded, grabbing the TV remote.

In the sunset turning red behind the smoke, forever and alone

The twins stepped into Greasy's Diner and sat at a booth for four people. "Mabel, there is a table for two over there." Dipper said. Mabel grinned mischievously. "No, let's sit here. I like this one better." Dipper shrugged as Lazy Susan walked to the table and handed them menus.
