Mabel and Bill are 21

Mabel's POV
I was watching TV, flipping through the channels bored when I decided to go for a walk. There was nothing good on TV anymore anyways. I pulled a sweater on over my tank, grabbed my apartment keys and left.
I was strolling through the woods for quite some time. It was so peaceful. I could just stay here forever, just me, the trees and the sky full of stars.
I heard a stumbling in the bushes. Scared, I grabbed a nearby stick. I wish I had brought the pepper spray Dipper had insisted I have, but it was back at the apartment. I stepped closer to the sound, my hands shaking.
Relievingly, Bill stepped out from behind the bushes. "Why hello Mabel!" Bill said. "Jeez Bill, you scared me. What were you doing in the woods?" I asked him, dropping the stick. We were kind of friends. He lived in the same apartment complex as me, and we talked sometimes in the lobby and stuff.
"Well I was looking for you of course!" Bill said. "Really?" I asked him.
"Well yeah!" He said. He tried to step towards me, but he kind of stumbled. "Bill, are you drunk?" I asked him.
"What? No..." he said. "Can I tell you a secret?" He asked, stumbling closer. "I am a little drunk." He fake whispered.
. I nodded. "Well let's get you home." I said.
"What? Noo, I don't wanna go home! Just a little longer?" He asked. "Bill, it's not safe." I tried to argue, but he was too busy looking at the stars. "It's pretty out here, huh? I mean I can see all the consultations." He said. Knowing I couldn't argue with him, I sighed. "You mean constellations?"
"That's what I said! And I know all of them." Bill replied. "Like that ones the major Ursula, and that one over there is Pinetree." He turned to me. "I'm smart, you know."
"Yes Bill, you are very smart." I teased. "You think so?" He said, stepping closer. He stumbled on top of me, pushing me into a tree by mistake. "Sorry." He said, putting his hand over his face. He slid it down and looked up at me. "Wow."
"What is it, Bill?" I asked him. "Just you. Wow. You are really beautiful." He said. I blushed nervously. "Me? I don't think so."
"You don't think you're beautiful?" He asked me. "Because I do." He reached up and tucked a strand of hair from my face behind my ear. He put his arms against the tree on either side of me and whispered in my ear; "I think you're the most beautiful lady ever in existence. And I have been around that long." He said. My face turned bright red.
"Please, I'm sure I'm nothing compared to some of the people you've met." I said. He shook his head. "You're stunning. You are kind and smart and strong and gorgeous and it makes me ache when I see you." He said. "There is a sky full of stars and planets and galaxies up there, and all I see is you."
Bill lightly kissed my neck. "Bill..." I said, and he pulled back. "That's me!" He replied. "This isn't right." I said.
"But it feels right. I love you." He said. I smiled at him. "I really do." He began to slur his words together. "I love you so much and I want you to have my children and I want us to raise them together. And we can get a cat and name it Simon and teach it to fetch a stick. And we'll be happy and have fun and..." he said, but he fell asleep before he could finish.
I put his arm around me and walked him back to the complex. I didn't know where his keys were so I just took him to my apartment. I helped him down onto the couch. He sat there looking at the staticky television while I went to get him some blankets. I noticed his shirt was wet so I unbuttoned it and pulled it off for him.
"Here Bill, lay down." I said, and he rested his head on one of the throw pillows I had. I pulled a quilt over him as he smiled up at me. "Goodnight, Mabel." He said, falling instantly asleep. I kissed his forehead. "Goodnight, Bill."
I threw his shirt in the washing machine and went to bed. I smiled and dreamed about everything he said.
I woke up early the next day and made some breakfast. I put on a pot of coffee and made some bacon and eggs with a side of toast. Bill woke up just as the toast popped out of the toaster. "Where am I?" I plated his breakfast and set it on the coffee table. "You're at my place." I said. He sat up to make room for me on the couch when he noticed he was shirtless.
"Where is my shirt?" He asked me. "Wait, we didn't..."
"No, don't worry. Although some interesting things did happen." I replied. I took a bite of egg.
"Wait, like what? He asked.
"Well, we were in the woods, because I was taking a walk when I bumped in to you. I tried to convince you to go home and get some rest, but you weren't listening. You started talking about constellations, such as the 'major ursula' and 'pinetree'. Then you tripped and fell on me, muttered some things and fell asleep. You're not wearing a shirt because it was covered in booze. I washed it for you."
"Well uhh... thanks for washing my shirt." He said. He took a sip of orange juice. "Oh, and you told me about how beautiful I was and how you wanted us to have kids? And something about a cat named Simon and a stick." I finished. Bill spit out his Orange Juice. "I did that?" Bill asked, turning bright red. I nodded. We just sat there for a while after that. Neither of us dared to interrupt the roaring silence between us.
Finally, I decided to speak. "Well uhh... did you mean it?" I asked. Bill cleared his throat. "Well I don't exactly know how to tell you this..." he said, standing and grabbing his shirt off of the arm of the couch. "Let's just say I would never lie to you." He said, and with that, he walked out the door.
We didn't see much of each other the next few days. I guess I always either left early or he left late. About a week later, I saw him at Greasy's Diner. He was drinking a cup of black coffee. I didn't know what to do, so I just stood outside and thought. Finally, I decided to go in. Unfortunately, that was the exact time that Bill decided to go out. We bumped into each other, and he spilt coffee on himself.
"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry Bill." I said. "No, it's totally fine." He replied, looking down on me slightly. He was just two inches taller than me. We just kind of stood there, glancing at each other and looking away. "Look Bill, I've thought a lot about what you said, and I-" I began, but I didn't get to finish. Bill put his coffee cup on the window ledge, grabbed me and kissed me. I grabbed him back, and at that moment I knew I never wanted to leave his embrace again.
I pulled back. "So I guess you did mean all that stuff you said." I said, smirking and looking up at him. "What did I tell you? I would never lie to you."
