"4:00pm" I sat in creative writing and stared at the clock. Every minuet was one minuet closer to 6:30 and minuets felt like hours at this point. My eyes returned back to my blank computer screen there's so much I wanted to write about but putting it into words seemed like the most difficult thing in the world right now. I looked down at my coffee cup and watched the unmixed creamer spiral together with the black sections of the drink. It reminded me of a dream I had last night in which I worked at a cafe and found a fish swimming inside of the coffee pot. I decided to turn that into a paper and hand it in.
After class me, Jack and Finn went back to Jack's dorm to hang out. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them they were my backbones. We decided to play mario kart together because is there really a better thing to do with friends on a warm fall day? Probably but this was our idea of fun.
"You just blue shelled me, asshole!" Finn yelled and groaned.
"Well you were in first what did you expect me to do? Let you win?" Jack argued back and nudged into his side.
"Great now i'm in third and now we're done." Finn complained as the finish screen lit up on our shitty TV.
"Sorry maybe next time." Jack smirked and shrugged.
"You're lucky you're cute." Finn mumbled under his breath.
"I'm what now?" Jack stopped joking around and a look of pure confusion spread across his face.
"I uhm- oh my god Jaeden! It's already 5:30 we should start getting you ready." Finn stood up and threw his controller onto the bed. "Sit down sit down." he pulled out a chair and I sat down as he started doing my hair for me.
"I'm so excited for you. You need to let us know how it goes immediately and in the mean time i'll be kicking Finn's ass in more video games." Jack said in awe. He sounded purely excited for me and I wished I could relate but I was far more on the anxious side.
"And here we have it ladies and gentlemen, the new, improved and ready to snatch himself a man Jaeden Lieberher!" Finn finished helping me get ready and flipped around my chair.
"I love it!" Jack smiled as I got a text from my Uber saying that he was here.

I love the city there's something so peaceful about it. It's always lively any time of the day there's something happening and somebody's always awake and especially around here you really meet some of the best people. I walked into the coffee shop making sure to fix my hair in the window before entering. I ordered myself a chai and him a peach tea. I sat at a table by the window and checked the time: "6:32". I tapped my fingers on the table hoping to see somebody that looked like how I pictured him but no luck.
"Jaeden?" A familiar voice spoke from behind me. I turned around and out of much surprise saw Wyatt standing there.
"Wyatt? What are you doing here?"
"What? A boy can't get out and enjoy some tea every now and then?"
"Yeah, I get it but why all the way in the city?" He sat down across from me.
"Why not? The real question is why do you have two drinks and one you?"
"I'm waiting for a friend." I looked down praying he wouldn't ask anymore questions if anybody was going to make fun of me for having internet friends it was Wyatt.
"And this friend likes peach tea? I have to say he has an amazing taste in drinks."
"Yeah, he is pretty amazing."
I took out my phone and texted cybertext to see if he was on his way. Maybe he forgot? Maybe he chickened out? Maybe he played me? My mind worried more and more as my fingers hit send.Wesley2003 wants to send you a message.
Wyatt's phone lit up and seeing my screen name on it made me almost sick to my stomach he picked up his phone and quickly typed back.
Cybertext: I've been here quiet some time haha! Where are you sitting?
Wesley2003: right in front of you.
Pinch me. That moment was like a dream you try to remember but it's gone. Pinch me. I tried to scream but it only came out as a yawn. Pinch me, pinch me, cause I'm still asleep. Please God tell me that I'm still asleep. He looked back up at me and I turned my screen toward him. 10,000 different thoughts crossed my mind. I love him but I also hate him. Maybe it was a joke. What if he knew all along and wanted to see how long it took me to notice?
"Did you know about this?" I questioned him.
"If I did do you think I would have put a tac on your desk chair the other day?"
"I knew it was you." I mumbled under my breath.
"Jaeden, I really don't know where to take this but all I can really say is the me you've been talking to for three years is the real me."
"Then why didn't you tell me your real name?"
"Right back at you, Wesley. I didn't want a stranger knowing my real name and by the time we were close it felt wrong to correct you."Have you ever looked at somebody and wanted to gently kiss them but also wanted to smash their head into a brick wall?
"Wyatt- I- this is a lot." I sighed "I need some time to think things over." I got up and started the leave when a tall boy walked over to our table. The same ones that was at Wyatt's party and he seemed to be friendly with.
"Hey is this your date, gay boy?" He slammed a hand on the table and glared Wyatt in his eyes. He looked terrified and venerable. I had never seen him like this and that's when it hit me. Wyatt was a huge softy. From the time he texted me about crying because he accidentally killed a spider to the other night when I came home to him singing Pat Boone and he looked so innocent and sweet and happy but immediately embarrassed when he turned around and saw I was home. He wasn't the jerk he acted out to be and it felt like the fear in his eyes opened me up to see everything else and finally allowed me to connect him and Jess as one. It filled me with a sense of warmth and something inside pushed me to shout: "Do you want to leave him alone?!"
"Oh i'm sorry for insulting your little boyfriend."
"And i'm sorry for this." I punched him square in the face and grabbed Wyatt's hand running for my life as he unwilling followed behind me. I didn't stop until he was out of sight. We sat down on a park bench together out of breath and all of Finn's hard work on my hair had gone to waste.
"You know you really didn't have to do that for me." Wyatt began, "I haven't really been the best to you."
"You may be the boy who put flour in my hair dryer and paint in my tooth paste but you're also the boy who has been with me through just about everything for the past few years."
"Thank you." He sighed softly.
We sat in silence for a few seconds. "I wish I had more to say but this is all such a shock." He added.
"There's a lot of things I want to say too but the kind you say without words."
"What do you mean?"
I'm not sure what possessed me to do my next move. Maybe it was the caffeine coursing through my system, maybe it was the smell of the ice cream stand beside us or the sun shining through each individual curl on his head or maybe even the pidgin that has been chirping for the past 10 minuets but I grabbed Wyatt by the collar and kissed him like I'd never kissed anyone before.
