New story, I have no idea how it will work out.

Staring down past the buildings that lined the city, I watched as all the people walked by. I never understand why people came out at night, you know, myths about Vampires and Demons lurking within the darkness never sat good with me. I mean come on, we're not that bad. Perched up here, I felt like the world was mine despite me being well, nothing.

My name is Victor. Vic for short, but who cares really. I'm a Vampire. Now, before you flip out, don't. That's really all I can say. Besides, I'm focused.

I pushed my hair out of my face. I needed a haircut, but could never muster the time of day because well, I couldn't go out in it. No, I don't sparkle, I explode. Like, literally explode.

I had been sitting here for a while and I was getting bored. I never really sat here for long, this was my go-to meal place, really. I had my eye on one person in particular, though.

I knew for a fact that he knew I was here, because my eyes glow red and he had looked directly into them. He would look up here every so often, probably wondering how the hell I got up here. Quite honestly, I hate heights. But I can't exactly stalk if everyone can see me, and that really blows. He took another drag of the cigarette.

Fuck, this was stupid. He wouldn't be able to outrun me, he wouldn't be able to fight me off, what was I waiting for? Nothing. I wasn't waiting.

I took the next opportunity, slithering back behind the building. I felt stealthy, but really, I wasn't. And I knew that. Jumping down from the back, I followed the boy. Once he saw that I was gone, I could tell he was freaked out before I even moved from my place.

"What the fuck?" Was all I heard before spinning around, seeing him standing behind me.

Wait, behind me?

"How did you get down from there?" He mumbled, pushing me aside like I was nothing. He pulled his keys out, unlocking the door to the building I was on. Wait, was this his place?

"What." Was all I stated, completely dumbfounded. What the fuck was going on.

"How. Did. You. Get. Down. From. There." Was all he repeated, slower this time. "There are no ladders to get up there." He shrugged his shoulders.

What, there wasn't?

"What?" I stated again. What was wrong with me.

"Hey, are you stupid or something." He asked in an impatient tone.

"Are you stupid or something?" I asked back, pushing him. "How do you think I got up there?" I asked him angrily, my eyes now glowing brighter. The thing with me was, it's hard to mask anger when It's all you feel towards everyone.

"Hey don't push me, you shit!" He said, pushing me back. What was with this dude? Wasn't he scared? Was he just un-phased?

"Hey look. It's cold out here, I really don't feel like standing anymore, if you're going to keep acting weird then come into my house because you are clearly not stable enough to function with other people."

And with that, he took my collar, pulling me in.
The light hurt, I'm not going to lie. It felt like knives. My skin cracked, causing me to gasp and punch the area where the light switch was. The light flickered, and turned off.

"What the hell, man!" He yelled, looking at me with anger. "What is wrong with you. You could've just turned it off!"

"Shaking my head, I simply brushed him off. Making my way to the fridge, I opened the freezer.

"You got anything thats not frozen in here." I asked him with a careless voice.

"No. Why would I keep my meat warm?" And for starters, that's the freezer."
