Broken mugs sat on the window sill,
An empty medicine bottle on the floor
The dust has coated everything,
Just lie a fine layer of sprayed paint. An upturned desk, lying on its side
Pieces of paper, gone yellow with age
A name on one or two, illegible hand.
An overflowing bin, half dirt half newspapers,
A banana peal, black and yellow and green,
Pellets of maggots, blissfully crawling.Broken windows, decayed wallpaper, falling paint, pealing ceilings,
Burst light bulbs, a single door,
Rusted hinges, missing knob.
A room in the mind, shattered.Bleak. But do not despair.... Sunshine and rainbows in the next one I promise !
