The Bad Boy's Princess

Chapter 7

Grabbing our lunch, me and Steph sat at our usual table. We already found Noah and Ben there and ate our lunch. "Rori," Steph said.

"Hmm," before Steph could say anything else, Cole, Caleb and Alex sat at our table like this table was theirs. They all did a bro hug with Ben and Noah. "Hold up, you guys know know each other?" They all nodded their heads in unison. Great. I thought as I slumped in my chair. Shoving fries in my mouth, I was about to pick up the last one when it slipped through my fingers and went into Alex's. "But- It just- Gone- Why- My fry--"

I just stared helplessly into Alex's eyes not long before it turned into a glare. "Dude, no one steals her fries," Noah said, filling in the gaps for Alex.

"I'll buy you some new ones, I swear, I, I'll-" this was hilarious. My mouth curled up into a smirk and Alex just stared confused like I was a few moments ago. "Aren't you gonna do anything?" Alex asked in a timid voice like a kid who just did something bad and expected his parents to scold him.

"I mean, you could buy me new fries if you want, but it was hilarious seeing you like that, so,"

"Dude, imagine what she's like in bed if she's like that now." Cole chimed in. Noah and I both glared at him while my twin punched him hard in the arm and I threw an empty juice box at his head because he was too far away for me to do anything else.

"Aurora, can I talk to you?" I nodded and followed Alex to an empty corridor. It almost sounded weird for him to call me by my name, I kind of missed 'princess.'

"What's up?" I honestly didn't know what he wanted me to talk about that was so serious that he called me by my actual name.

"Well, what happened yesterday? And earlier today, you seemed kind of off."

"What did happen yesterday?" I pretended to act confused when really, I knew what he was talking about.

"You know, when you slapped me, you started tearing up and no offence, that's nothing to really cry about. Also, you seemed teary today as well. What's going on? I can help you."

"No, you can't help me because you don't know anything about me and I don't know anything about you. So just leave it alone because nothing happened."

"Just tell me." He slid down the lockers and patted the space next to him. I sat down and let out a sigh.

"My ex was new and like you, he used some dumb pick-up lines and basically, you just reminded me of him and he fucked my best friend and you know," oh no. I could feel the tears falling.

"What about today?"

"Yesterday, my grandpa died of lung cancer. The thing is, I loved and still love him the most and I never even knew he was dying. He was in Russia as well so I couldn't even see him until last summer."

Alex just stayed quiet until more tears started falling quicker. He pulled me in for a hug and I never knew he was the sort of person to comfort others. I guess he isn't that bad after all. He let me rest my head on his shoulder and there was a large tear stain on his chest but he didn't seem to mind.

This was nice.
