RECAP: So basically, Aurora went to the bathroom at lunch and then Cheryl came in and started bitching about and burned Aurora's hand and left the bathroom.

I waited until Cheryl and her minions left the bathroom and just ran back in. How the hell am I going to go back to the cafeteria with no one noticing my burn? Opening a cubicle and sitting on the toilet cover, I just wasted my time staring at the graffiti on the walls.

One of them said Em and Dan were here! surrounded by a love heart. I acted like I never saw that. I mean, I still see the two around but (they were only together for two weeks until they thought it's best to go their separate ways) I pretend that I never see them. They try their best to communicate with me- just a simple hello! or a nod while we pass each other in the hall but I ignore it all the time. It's in the past, it's not going to happen again. That's what I'm always told but it's never true because it always haunts me. It's like it happens all over again when I close my eyes.

Looking down at my watch, I notice that there are fifteen minutes until lessons start again. I've been here for an awfully long time.

I heard the door swing open a few moments later but I didn't mind it. "Princess?" I heard a voice call.

Oh no. What was he doing here?

"You do realise this is a girls' bathroom, right?"

"Of course I do, I'm not dumb."

"Then, what are you doing here?" I said slowly as if he couldn't understand me (just so he thinks nothing bad happened), often the way people (rudely) talk to others when they're deaf.

"You were gone for a really long time, open up the door."

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want to. What if I have a severe case of diarrhoea?"

"I know you don't, just open the door. Please?" After letting out a sigh, I unlocked the door, then quickly shoved my hand into my pocket so he wouldn't notice the burn, "Move up," I moved up so that there was enough space for him to sit on the seat but there wasn't much space.

We were sitting so close to each other so that our knees and thighs were touching. I could feel his hot breath on my now red cheeks as he studied my face- my nose, my eyes, my lips.

He grabbed my burnt hand from my pocket, said that I only had one hand in my pocket and it was an awkward position for him because my elbow was kind of digging into his ribs. I chuckled at that. Holding my hand for a second longer, his eyes flickered to my lips before he carefully placed my hand on my leg.

His head went up and down from my hand to my face. He saw my burn.

"When did that happen?"

"When did what happen?" I often play the dumb game so I can avoid certain things. Certain things like this. He got down on his knees in front of me and grabbed my hand, quickly but gently.

"This! How did you burn it? It wasn't there before."

"Maybe I burnt it while making eggs for breakfast."

"You had cereal today." Ok, maybe I'm not a good liar. And how he knew that I have no idea.

"Just tell me what happened." Oh, my God. This guy pried so many things out of me already, how much more is he going to pry?

"Cheryl-"

"WHAT?"

"She may or may not have shoved my hand up a hair dryer," I said with hesitation, "but it's fine, I've been through worse, I mean I've been sho-" My hand immediately shot up to my mouth. Dammit Rori, control your mouth for God's sake!

"What?"

"Ignore that."

"No."

"Ow, my hand hurts, it's been burnt!" I said that on purpose with no effect just so that he would not pry anything else out of me. He rolled his eyes and took me out of the cubicle and to the sinks. Turning the cold tap on, he placed my hand under the running water and I sighed a sigh of relief. The water felt as cool as the shade on a hot day. Alex kept his eyes on me, whilst gently rubbing my hand.

This is awkward. But I may or may not like it.

After blushing from his intense stare, I just looked at my hand but still felt his gaze on me. After switching off the tap, he grabbed some tissue and dried my hand ever so softly, while still keeping his eyes on me.

"There," he said, almost a whisper. He took me to my next class and I turned to him.

"Thank you. For everything. And not a word of this goes to Noah," he smiled his precious smile and I returned it while opening the door to my next class.

Throughout the entire of English Lit., I could not get my mind off of Alex, the way his soothing touch relaxes me, the way his eyes soften every time he looks at me but hardens when he looks at anyone else.

I think I'm falling. In- in love.

This cannot be happening.
