This is my first story.... Enjoy...? <3

Lily McQueen hated parties. Of all types, she hated house parties. Some of them were just plain making out and some were just total box-office parties where everybody ended up broke.
She knew she was being a killjoy; she thought she was born to be. Hell, she did not even know half of the people in Dougray’s party. To add up, she could see all Fram Hill High couples kissing. It was not a nice sight to see; it was gross.
“I know and I am so sorry.”
Lily couldn’t believe that this was her best friend who she was talking to. She couldn’t much more believe she let herself be Jean Appleton’s best friend. “You set me up with Milo LeBaeu?”
“Yup. Lily, come on. You don’t have a date for the party so I told Milo to take you for a dance.” Jean Appleton, with her long and wavy red hair and green eyes, could be the most annoying person on Earth but Lily was still grateful with her since ninth grade. “I am helping you find a boyfriend.”
Lily thought that Jean was being sweet, really being like-I-wanted-to-dance-for-joy-of-having-you-in-my-life.
She looked around the crowd and saw different people, so different from her that she couldn’t tell she belonged. She always wanted to be this person or that person. She was not “not Lily”. She was not a booby and go-blondie cheerleader like Missy Finnegan, or the tutu and ballet flats addict Rachel Leigh Winowski who thought she owned half, if not the whole, of the school’s auditorium, or the America’s next big thing – Ms. Fram Hill Amanda Pane. The emphasis was on the “big”.
Jean – the apple of Lily’s eyes which she asked Lily to call her- told Lily that one of the things good about her was that she was not Missy because she did not date Frank Bosworth and her bra cup size was normal for an eighteen year old; that she was not Rachel because she would never end up being a prima donna; and, she was not Amanda because she did not have the middle name “Window”. People might just have called her Amanda Window Pane.
Lily believed Jean and her “good” intentions and was relieved to know that her friend was looking out for her, but she wouldn’t let her get away with setting her up with Milo LeBaeu, a brainiac. Jean might as well as set Lily up with their Physics teacher, Mr. Lou Simper.
“Chill, Lil. I don’t think that Milo is as worse as Physimper.”
Rolling her eyes, Lily replied, “Sure. And I dye your hair pink. Get me another vodka.”
“Oh! I’m threatened because I’m not a natural red-head. Duh!” Tossing her red hair, Jean dragged Lily, with vodka in hand, to a corner. “Look over there. There’s Frankie. He’s so hot. Ooooh… What do you think?”
“Will you just stop yelling at my ears? I can hear you well enough.”
“Fine but look. He is so damn hot; however, it’s a shame that he’s still dating Missy Finnegan.”
“I thought they broke up last month.”
“They did but the booby Finny seduced him back and BANG! Goodbye, Spring Dance.”
Lily thought seeing Jean pouting was cute. “Jean, the Spring Dance is still next year. You can still find someone else and what’s so hot about Bosworth anyway? He’s blond just like what you are usually attracted to but he’s a jerk. Plus, he dates all girls, booby and boob-less.”
Jean only pouted and said nothing more because she knew Lily was right that Franklin “Frankie or Frank” Bosworth was a jerk, a flirt, and a what?
