YEAR 3 ~ MONTH 1 ~ DAY 3
RIN'S POV
My vision cleared as mom shook my shoulders and I stumbled backwards as the pain in my stomach hit me.
I winced and looked up at the man in front of me with a smirk.
"For an Uchiha, you are crap at genjutsu."
He balled his fists. "Ho-"
"Suko draws out the 'y' in 'happy' for point two seconds longer than most people when saying,"Happy Birthday." Its a simple thing really."
Suko scoffed. "You're a weirdo."
I smiled. "Thanks! Now...you're an Uchiha. That much I've figured out. Probably my dad's age I'm guessing."
His stance altered slightly and I frowned. "Do you know my dad?"
"I know of him. The ninja with an Uchiha eye."
Something in his tone was slightly defensive, which made me wonder, but I cast it aside quickly.
"You were there the night of the massacre. Were you in on it?"
"My name is Mada-"
I held up a hand and coughed up some blood that I wiped away and sighed. "I'm gonna stop you right there. I have a feeling I know what you're going to say, and that's bull. So, I'm going to take these two, and go away. Next time we meet, you should be ready to tell me who you really are."
I clapped my hands together once and looked at mom. "Alrighty, do that thing uncle could do."
"How do you-"
"Is now really the best time?"
"Point taken, alrighty, hold onto your shorts."
She grabbed me and Suko, then did the teleportation jutsu, landing us in a small hut with a view of Hokage Mountain.
"Konoha? We were no where even remotely near Konoha! What kind of jutsu is that?"
Me and mom simply smiled at Suko and chuckled.
"Okay, let's get this wound fixed up," mom said as she started to try and heal me.
I smacked her hands away. "No. Take care of yourself first. Suko can help me."
She rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine, brat."
I chuckled as Suko proceeded to heal my wound. Her eyes were cast downward, like she wae scared to look at me. She probably was.
"Why did you go with the Akatsuki?"
She froze and bit her lip slightly. "I...was trying to get close to Orochimaru," she whispered.
Mom froze and looked up at her as my own eyes widened.
"Why would you put yourself at risk like that? What if he kidnapped you again? Would the Akatsuki have helped you?"
"Itachi would of. He was helping me."
I sighed and brought her in for a hug. "Please, you could've been killed. Be careful."
She nodded and sniffled slightly. "I'm sorry."
I chuckled dryly and shook my head. "You're so selfish," I whispered as she laid down on the couch next to me.
"But, it'd be nice to know what you know."
Mom nodded as she handed me a drink.
Suko sighed and stretched. "To be quite honest, not much. Everyone hates each other, and the leader, Pein, is very secretive."
Mom groaned. "Great. So we know nothing...no offense."
"None taken," Suko said with a scoff. "The only one I got somewhat close to was a pervert named Hidan. He liked my henge."
We all cringed and chuckled slightly.
"Now, why are we at Konoha?"
I nodded in agreement with Suko's question. After what happened last time, I didn't think mom would want to go anywhere near Konoha again for at least a while.
"Its the safest place I could bring us," she explained with a nervous chuckle.
I simply sighed before shaking my head and laughing. "Never a dull moment," I chuckled.
Mom and Suko both hugged me tightly while smiling.
"That'd be boring," Suko said while ruffling my hair.
I'm terribly sorry this part is so short. Its mostly a continuation of the last chapter...but I wanted to end that chapter on a cliff hanger...soooo....yeah.
