I sat on the deck as I watched Nalin and Jay play in the pool. A smile inched its way onto my face as my phone began to ring. I look down to find that it was my mother calling. "Hey mom," I answered as I stood up and walked into the house to get something to drink. "Bryce," a familiar voice called. I scoffed and peeked outside. "I could've swore I told you not to contact me anymore." I said in a rather harsh tone.
Myesha sighed. "I really need you right now," she cried. I dropped the attitude when I head glass shattering. "What's wrong?" I asked frantically. "Its this dude I've been talking to. He found out I had a boyfriend and now he's pissed. I don't know where to go where he doesn't know." she whispered as I heard a car start. I debated with myself before giving in. "You know my address, be safe." I said before hanging up.
I walked back outside to see Pumpkin standing on the diving board and Nalin floating around the pool in her little doughnut float. "Where is daddy?" I asked before Jay popped out of no where and grabbed my ass. "So I'm daddy now, huh?" he joked. I slapped his chest as Nalin laughed. "Team Daddy:1, Team Mommy:0!" He cheered as he jumped into the pool. I sighed and sat in my seat.
"Jay we need to talk," I called as he and Nalin splashed each other. Jay looked at me and continued to play. "That doesn't sound very good," he mumbled. I sucked my teeth ad ran my hands over my face. 'He is not going to be very happy with this,' I thought as my phone began to ring. "Hello," I answered. "I'm outside," Myehsa replied causing me to gulp. "Ok, here I come." Jay gave me an uneasy look as I ruched off to let her in.
Myesha looked horrible. I'm talking even worse than when she found out she wasn't pregnant. "Thank you so much, sis." She cried as she hugged me. I stood as solid as a rock before pulling away. "I'm doing this only because I don't want your blood on my hands, not because I have forgiven you." I said sternly as I closed the door behind her. Myehsa nodded as I led her to the kitchen. The awkward silence was umbearable, but it was nothing compared to what happened next.
"What the fuck is she doing here?" Jay called as he dried Nalin off in her froggy towel. I shrugged and dropped my hands to the side. "She needed help, and I wasnt going to let her continue too live in that situation. Lets drop it at that." I said as I reached for the bottle of wine. I poured the rest of the bottle into my cup as Myesha and Jay stared each other down.
"Jay," she said. Jay looked her up and down. "Myehsa," he replied in the same tone of disgust. I downed the entire glass like a shot and looked directly at Nalin. "Mommy's gonna need a hell of a lot more wine,"
