Chapter 1

Sugino's predicament

He looked terrible.

Terrible isn't a strong enough word

Karma looked at Eren wide eyed "why can you do that?" the other boy just shrugged and went to sit next to sugino who was caressed by nagisa. The black haired boy had a contorted expression of pain despite his lack awakeness. Dark purple veins ran down his neck and down to his stomach, each one seemingly burning a black poison into his flesh.

"we found him like this. I suspect someone's messed with his guardian" Eren said as karma still fueled with anger punched the wall.

"why do you say that?"

"well you see every world is heavily influenced by particular aspect of its environment. This universe is more science and urban technology making magic or fantasy basically impossible. Well besides the guardians"

Nagisa stood up and went up to the red heads "if you two are planing to do something now would be a good time to start" he urged "we are losing him" despite nagisa's tough expression anyone could tell he was breaking apart inside.

The little boy with blue haired looked quite different. He was still small compared to karma but looked more mature and his hair was slightly longer hair making him look like Zoe.

Karma shook his head trying not to remember the girl nagisa had cried over two for nearly a whole year after her death.

"so what's the plan?"

Eren crossed his arms "we need to get down to Alfhiem and find sugino's guardian, find out what's happening and how to cure it and then get back here"

Karma lifted his brow "where do I come in?"

"I need you to get me there. Since I'm not considered a guardian anymore I need to use our souls to transport us there. It isn't easy but we need to get to there in order to find out how to cure sugino"

Karma mulled over the situation before looking at Eren with a serious look "let's go"

Eren took his hand. A light broke out around them causing Kate ma to panic "stay focused"

Karma didn't.

Every thing turned black and they both fell through time and space starting there adventure.

With a loud thud both of them fell out the sky and onto the hard ground "that didn't hurt" karma's voice dripping with sarcasm. He stood up and looked at his surroundings. They seemed to be on a grassy plain on the edge of a very eerily looking forest. Out in the distance the tops of castle that looked big enough to hold three kings and there families and too there left was a small hut surrounded by garden "where are we?"

Karma clasped a hand over his mouth. He sounded different. Higher. Younger. A hand clasped his shoulder "don't worry our bodies are changing to match the world" karma turned to see eren looked different. His hair a more orange colour then red, the faintest hint of hair on his chin and a younger face "you look different" he mumbled.

"choose your words wisely because you look exactly the same" he warned.

Karma held his hands up "I didn't say it looked bad" eren grumbled passed me looking around.

"where are we?" karma repeated.

"don't know, but it certainly isn't Alfhiem" he answered. He looked back at karma "it seems the teleportation didn't work. We'll need to try again" karma nodded and sighed. Eren grasped karma's hand and closed his eyes. Unlike before when hey were enveloped in light, they just stood there in awkward silence. Eren cursed.

"why isn't it working?" karma panicked.

"it seems I'm out of magic. It's gonna take me a few days to get it all back" eren growled. Karma completely lost his mind "great now we will never get to Sugino on time"

Suddenly a hoard of voices came from the distance. Both of them ran into the safety of the trees as a group of what looked like students pushed a boy with black hair that went to his shoulders up against a tree and pointed what karma could only assume was a stick at the boy. They were close enough so that the pair could tell they were talking but to actually string a sentence with these words was impossible. Eren shifted uneasily "I figured out what world we are in" he whispered.

Karma sensed his uneasiness and started to pay a closer attention to the kids. One of the said a string of words and the others instantly broke out in laughter leaving the boy with flushed face. Karma's face grew red and hot with anger after realizing what they were doing "don't even think about it karma" Eren warned.

Karma doesn't sit back and watch. It wasn't in his vocabulary but with Eren on his back he felt conflicted about whether to interrupt or let yhis play out.
