Secrets: Part 2

I went to school, because, I'm kind of forced to by the law. I went to my classes, then went outside with Jessika again for fifth. We started with small talk, and how I hated it. Small talk is so annoying to me, especially when there's other things on your mind to talk about.

Then, we went silent.

"I'm bi," she blurted.

"What?"

"Yeah, I don't know." With this she put her head down, staring at a pebble.

Now we were quiet, once again. Maybe we should've continued our small talk. I don't know what's worse, small talk to awkwardness that you can't get out of.

The bell rang for lunch. Still looking down, she put her book in her bag and walked back over.

I was still on the bleachers. The second bell rang, I jumped up out of fear and sprinted over. Well, if that wasn't awkward, I don't know what is.

In world history we continued our project, when Jacob asked if I was excited for the dance.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?"

"Oh just seemed a little nervous."

"Nooo." I over exaggerated, maybe just a little, or a lot.
