We walked out of the Great Hall and made our way down to the Dungeons for double potions with Slytherin.

"Your tables are assigned this year. Find your name and take your seat," Slughorn wheezed.

Table 1: James Potter, Severus Snape, Eandra Finnigan, Alice Fortescue.

Table 2: Lily Evans, Jackson Mills, Ivory Hue, Narcissa Black.

Table 3: James Carr, Remus Lupin, Marlene McKinnon, Emmeline Vance.

Table 4: Bellatrix Black, Regulus Black, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black.

Table 5: Jordan Hayes, Lucius Malfoy, Jacob Malloy, Thomas Cartel.

Table 6: Chayse Boyd, Isla LaVerne, Austin Kintz, Arabella Rosario.

Table 7: Tobias Hunt, Lauren Cowell, Colbie Harrison, Logan Montayne

Table 8: Hudson Cowell, Marina Victoria, Pandora Moon, Lonni Sullivan.

This wasn't going to end well. So much for trying to keep Ivory away from Jackson. I rolled my eyes and took a seat next to Bella, whose nose scrunched up.

"We'll it's me or the rat, Bella. Your pick," I grumbled loudly, rolling my eyes again.

"How about little cousin Regulus—"

"That wasn't an option—"

"Neither was Gryffindor, but look where you ended up."

"Gryffindor just makes it, what, 139.92% more likely that I'll beat your ass. Did I do the math right, Evans?" I retorted, praying that Evans would take my side just this once.

"Precisely," she said, a smile playing on her lips.

SCORE!! Merlin bless her heart.

"Having your little Muddy-Bloody frien—"

I didn't let her finish her unforgivable statement, for before she could finish, I had her pinned to the cold tile floor, punching her multiple times in a row, furious.

"Stop it! Sirius cut it out!" I heard Ivory shriek.

"Not on the first day, S'," I heard Evans face-palm.

"Mister Black and Miss Black! Cut this out immediately! Immediately, I say!" Slughorn squealed angrily. "Miss Evans, please take Mister Black to the Headmaster— er, no, never mind. To McGonnagall's office, and... let's see... Ah, Miss Hue! Please escort Miss Black to the nurse."

"No, professor; anyone but Hue—" I attempted.

"I am the professor here, Mister Black, not you, so I suggest you keep out of any more trouble than you are already in!" He roared. Snickers and snide remarks were made as I walked, head held high, with Evans starlight out of the cold dungeon.

"What the hell were you thinking—?"

"I'm done letting them get away with calling you that... revolting word, Lilac," I interrupted, answering her unfinished question.

"It's Lily, actu—"

"Hush, Tulip," I said, pressing my index finger to her lips to shush her. She laughed quietly.

"Is Sirius Black flirting with me?"

I got wide eyed and quickly said, "Oh HELL no. I'm too young and beautiful to die. James'd have me beheaded before I could come up with another name! Never In a million years would that be the impression I was working on!"

She laughed again and said, "thanks for not letting him give up faith. I admire that in someone like him."

"Oooooh does a certain Daisy Evans like a certain James Potter? OOOH— OW! Dammit Evans!" I said rather loudly.

"Tell anyone and I will personally rip out all your hair and tell everyone that you're a big cuddle bunny—"

"GASP! You wouldn't!!"

"Oh my Merlin, Sirius!! You don't say gasp!" She said hysterically, erupting into a fit of giggles.

"And cuddle bunny? Really? You're lying. I'm not a cuddle bunny."

"Riiiiight, because you totally don't give the first years hugs whenever they get sorted into a house their parents hate—"

"That's different—"

"—and you totally don't say 'night night, sweet dreams, I love you' to the boys in your dorm every single night because you want them to feel loved—"

"I hate you."

"And of course you TOTALLY hate me—"

I rolled my eyes and engulfed her in a hug.

"Totally," she laughed, hugging my waist before pulling away with a smile.

"Mister—" Minnie said, looking up, and sighed, looking down sadly"— Black. Another beaten up child done by your causings? When will you learn?"

"When they stop calling my bloody b— when they stop taunting Evan and the other muggle-borns! Bella wouldn't shut up and I'm done with her bullshit!"

"Have a biscuit, Sirius," she said, saying my name for the first time in exactly five years.

"No, I will not have a biscuit, ma'am, with all do respect."

"You will do as I say," she ordered sternly.

I looked back at Lily. "Go ahead," she said, nudging me forward.

"Miss Evans, if you will please stand outside for a matter of minutes until we are done speaking, and close the door behind you. It's his choice whether or not he wants to share this conversation in the future."

"Yes, Professor," she mumbled, walking outside and closing the door behind her as she was told.
