Confused And Conflicted. (SPN+Avengers reader insert)

Chapter 3

When Sam goes missing for a few days, Dean has Bobby come with him- leaving you to fend for yourself for a day or two. During that period of time, you meet Loki.

"Please don't be afraid." He says, as he shows you some of his magic. "See, I'm just like you. I'm different."

"Who are you?" You hesitantly ask, something is familiar about this stranger but you don't know why. The stranger crouches down to your level.

"I have many names, but you might be the most familiar with the name Loki."

"Like Loki the prince of Asgard?"

"Yes." Loki answers with a sincere smile. Your eyes instantly light up, and a grin forms on your face.

"Did you really convince Thor to wear a wedding dress?" Loki is momentarily caught off guard by your question but he answers it anyways.

"I did, and just between you and me... our brother looked absolutely fabulous." You tilt your head to the left in confusion. "You weren't born of Midgard Y/N. You were born of Asgard..." Loki then goes into detail about the night you were born and how you were stolen away from Asgard.

Bobby was unsure about Loki at first- but he eventually gets used to him. He even allows Loki to take you and pick you up from school every now and then. When Loki doesn't come to visit, you typically sit by the window- just waiting.

When Sam and Dean visit you for your birthday, and you latch onto Sam's leg. A smile upon your face, yet sadness in your eyes. You let go, then walk over to Bobby.

"Will Loki ever come back?" You ask.

"I don't know Smiles." You nod sadly as you walk over to your toys and sit down amongst them. Sam walks over to you and sit down next to you.

"Who's Loki?" Dean asks Bobby.

"Her imaginary friend." Bobby answers in a low voice, lying to Dean's face. He had pinky promised you that he wouldn't tell Sam and Dean about your Asgardian heritage, or the fact you are actually a princess.

"She's still in the Norse mythology phase?"

"Why do you say it like it's a bad thing?"

"I'm trying to keep her out of hunting for as long as possible."

"You don't have a lot of time left boy."

"Don't remind me."

You don't see Loki until your seventh birthday. Sam, Dean, and Bobby are gone, so you get the day with Loki.

"I got you something." Loki says as he sits down on the couch removing a crudely wrapped gift out of the folds of his cape.

"What is it?"

"Unwrap it to find out silly." Your brother comments as he hands it to you. You eagerly remove the paper and find a gem encrusted gold pendant and right in the middle engraved in ancient Nordic runes is your name. Loki then explains that he took the necklace out of your room on Asgard.
