BAN X PIG

The Beginning

"A talking pig?" Ban asked, confused.
He had only met a talking pig once, a long long time ago. Could it be? Nah... He thought.
But ever since that day, he kept have dreams- no, memories of the old talking pig he knew, who went by the name "Captain".
One night, Ban was startled awake to a hoof on his chest.
He blearily opened his eyes to see a pig. "Ban!" It shouted.
"Captain?" He asked sleepily. "What do you want? I have a few more hours to sleep."
"I.. I wanted to ask you something, Ban." The pig stared intently into his eyes, peering into his very soul. "Ban... do you remember... us?"
Ban was at a loss for words. "Captain... of course I remember us... but... hey wait a second! you died! I saw it with my own two eyes! You died and I couldn't do anything to stop it!" These painful memories brought tears to Ban's eyes.
The pig looked at him with pity and sorrows of his own. "No Ban. I didn't die that day. I was just.... toasted a little." The pig sighed, and stretched out on Ban's chest. "I looked for you everywhere, you know. I couldn't find you."
"Yeah... I met this fairy chick, called Elaine."
"You le-left me for someone better?!" The pig squealed.
"No! It's not like that. She was just a rebound so I could get over you. You've always meant the most to me Captain!"
The pig sniffled softly. "Do you remember what you used to call me?" The pig gently asked.
Ban let a slow smile creep onto his face. "Yeah... I do."
