The melodic tunes of the spring birds harmonized with the soft rustle of the forest trees, while the morning shuffle of the wooden carriages scraped against the cobblestone routes that snaked through the lush woodland of the Kassmeyer manor. The morning performed an awakening symphony that rang throughout the spacious rooms of the mansion.
Marina laid on plush sheets of the bed covered in golden ornaments that twirled through the bed's posts, gradually getting hidden by the satin veils of the bed's roof. Neither fully awake nor fully asleep Marina's slender figure was engulfed in the sea of sheets.
"Mrs. it's time to wake up, we must prepare." spoke a soft whisper as Marina opened her eyes. In front of her stood Daffie- Marina's personal maid. Sitting up Marina rubbed her eyes while examining Daffie, she wore a mid length black dress accompanied by a simple white bonnet covering her ginger head to only reveal a neat braid placed on her shoulder. A usual look, that Daffie didn't deviate from, since Marina's presence in the manor.
"Oh Daffie, you don't know how excited I am" mumbled Marina as she whipped her hands through a waterfall of her black curls causing them to cascade around her shoulders. "Dear Daffie I can feel it...this is the day everything is going to change" the young woman continued as she approached the room's window. Marina began to observe the scenery lain before her, it was evident she was lost in thoughts again.
It's been three months since she married Baron von Kassmeyer, originating as a daughter of a simple farmer she grew from peasantry to a Baron's wife. Almost every morning Marina wondered of her relationship with the Baron. Six months ago when her father was still alive the Baron's proposal even though baffling seemed to Marina as a salvation, a solution to all her problems.
Marina adored her husband, she believed him to be the most gallant men she could've come across. He was a mannered and a gallant man, longing for a loving companion in Marina's eyes...after all, that's why he married a simple girl like her, Marina thought to herself. However, most often his manners made him a rigid individual, awkward in their conversations Marina and the Baron barely shared a touch, not even a kiss. This saddened her, she was grateful to her husband he saved her and sheltered her from the miserable future she was destined to have, barely mannered Marina acquired to the noble customs and ought to improve her haughty temper just to please the man who she believed she loved. Even though the young woman loved her spacious room, it wasn't complete not without her husband who still slept in a separate room.
As Marina broke her stare away from the window approached by Daffie, who had begun to brush Marina's ebony locks.
"Find me a simple dress Daffie, we have a busy day ahead of us", spoke Marina as her features formed into a soft smile.
Daffie's petite lips curled into a smirk as the young maid replied to Marina, "Oh, of course, Mrs, with all the things we have to buy, fruits, candles, wine...the list is too long Mrs."
"Don't forget Daffie", Marina replied "I need to find a perfect dress for today, oh and a mask would be fitting too!", exclaimed Marina.
At this point, she couldn't stop smiling as the thought of today's night waltzed in her head. After all, today was the day her and von Kassmeyer would share a kiss, that Marina thought to be the final ingredient that would awaken her husband's affection to her.

PHEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! That was harder than I expected, didn't realize how much effort this actually took, but weirdly enough I really enjoyed writing this chapter.
