Artemis got up with the most terrible headache. Realising that she was no where near from going back to bed, she decided on getting ready for school. It was almost six anyways so she just thought of it as a way of getting to school earlier than usual.
She quickly stepped into her bathroom and shut the door immediately. She walked over to the sink, staring at the groggy creature looking back at her through the mirror. Sighing in disgust she opened the cabinet behind the mirror and pulled out a small bottle containing painkillers. She placed two of the white pills onto her palm before closing the bottle and placing it back in its original spot. She grabbed her water bottle from the same cabinet and quickly threw the pills into her mouth with a huge gulp of water.
It wasn't long before she was in the shower being poured with droplets of cold water. Not wanting to spend any more time in here, she stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel of the metal rack just near the shower. She placed the white towel around her body and left the bathroom with the door making a click sound as she closed it behind her.
She walked over to her closet and glared at her clothes, completely clueless of what she would wear for another dreadful day of school. She continued to search in thought before she was rudely disturbed by a series of hard knocks on the other side her bedroom door.
"Artie!" A high undecided baritone voice bellowed loudly.
Artemis didn't hesitate to place her hand over her face. The banging continued as Artemis' nickname now turned into a song.
"god, Drew what do you want!" She yelled matching his intensity.
"I need the blow-dryer!" He yelled again, this time ending his sentence in a high tone.
This was something Artemis enjoyed in terms of 'extreme sibling torture' towards her younger brother. Drew Prior is only fourteen years old and puberty wasn't doing him the best in the voice and acne department. Artemis of course did not mind this for it was comedic gold in this household.
"Hold on!" She yelled.
"Ok-"
"Artemis and Drew Prior! If I hear another word from your mouths it's curtain calls for you two!"
Artemis cringed at her mother's voice booming throughout the house. She was not planning on pissing off her parents today. She quickly found her robe and put it on as she beared the door, opening it with an unexplained degree of intensity. She found a Drew Prior, leaving up against the wall opposite her bedroom. She looked at him with a look of irritation.
"See what you've done? We might as well be writing what we want engraved on our tombstones." She whispered. It was hard to look authoritative when your sibling, who is three years younger than you is practically towering over you and you start to wonder who really is in their senior year of highschool.
"Hey, it's not my fault you're always hogging the blow-dryer. Haven't Mommy and Daddy taught you about sharing.... especially with your dearest and only sibling?" Artemis' face immediately hardened at her brother's "legendary smirk".
"Whatever." She muttered before heading back into her bedroom and coming back out with their blow-dryer.
"Here." She subtly shoved it into his chest.
"Morning to you too big sis." Drew muttered as she practically shut the door in his face. Drew decided to head back to his bedroom before something else came to attack him.
Artemis quickly picked out a casual and unnoticeable outfit. A simple hoodie with a pair of jeans and a classic black pair of Vans. She kept to her usual hairstyle, where it was parted a little in the front and the remnants just rested an inch off her shoulders.
