Holly POV
I woke up in a very dull room. I soon realized that it was just my blurred vision. I couldn't see or think straight and my head was throbbing like crazy. I heard someone say something, but I couldn't understand them. I somehow realized that I probably had a concussion.
I felt someone gently take my hand. I heard talking but it still didn't really register.
I felt something being stuffed into my mouth. Instead of spitting it out, I simply chewed and swallowed. When my vision cleared and the throbbing subsided, I realized that it was ambrosia.
"You've got a nasty concussion," I heard a girl say.
I realized that it hurt too much to speak, so I remained silent. I also realized that it was Pippin who was holding my hand and tried my best to hide my blush.
"I think all of the blood is rushing to your head," Daniel joked. Dang it.
Pippin let go. "That's Lily," he said. "Do you remember how Chiron told us we'd leave camp with six demigods, but come back with seven?"
Of course I didn't, so I just stared at him blankly.
"Well, he did," Pippin said. "And we've found our 7th demigod if it's okay with you."
It would be good to have another girl on this quest. I gave a thumbs-up.
"Sweet!" Lily grinned. "I finally get to get out of here. And if you're wondering about my ankle, I sprained it while falling down here."
I must have looked really confused, because she went on, "Sorry, you must have been unconscious. To get in here, you have to open the hole in the ground and jump down. There's mattresses, but I stupidly only asked for one, when normally you'd get three or four to land on. Did that make any sense?"
I nodded, then winced in pain.
"I think we can risk one more small piece of ambrosia," Ashton said, and stuffed a piece in my mouth. Instantly I felt better.
"Looking better already," Lily grinned.
"Spit it out," Daniel said to me. I guess I tried to ask who her godly parent was, which was what I was wondering about.
I glared at him. "She can't talk, stupid," Lily said.
"I don't need my new half-sister stating the obvious," Daniel said.
I smiled.
"You answered her question," Lily said and grinned at Daniel's annoyed expression.
"When do you think you'll be well enough leave?" Hank asked me.
I tried sitting up, since I felt almost perfectly fine. Hank gently pushed me back down. "You need to rest," he said.
I rolled my eyes.
"I think she's trying to say 'Screw resting, I just want to get out of here!'" Lily said.
I smiled at her and nodded.
Hank laughed. "If you're really ready, then we can leave now. Here, I'll help you up." I grabbed his arm for support and stood up. So far, so good.
"Can you walk by yourself?" Hank asked. In response, I squeezed his arm for dear life.
He smiled. "Okay then. Let's go."
We left the room. "Oh, I think I found your first item," Lily piped up. She held up a crystal-like thing.
I smiled, letting everyone know that that was the first item.
"Cool," Daniel said. "How do we get back up to the mainland?"
Lily pressed a button and we shot up.
We landed in an alley. Then we took about forty-five minutes getting back to the plane.
"Please tell me I won't almost die this time," I muttered.
"Okay, everyone beg Zeus to let Holly fly four more times without getting blasted out of the sky," Daniel said.
I rolled my eyes.
