"That's it." I grumbled. It was obvious they wouldn't be finished soon. I got up and grabbed my car keys. I snuck out and down to my car. I owned a sedan, a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze to be specific, that my grams bought me for my eighteenth birthday. There was a twenty-four hour gym right down the road from where my apartment was so that's where I decided to go. I hoped into the front seat, started the car, and off I went. After several minutes, I was there. I flew out of the car so fast I almost forgot to turn the ignition off. As i walked through the front doors, I hit the lock button twice to hear my car beep, telling me that it did indeed lock. Once through the front doors, a kind looking man, maybe thirty or so years old, greeted me at the front desk.

"Hello!" he said in a very chipper voice. "May I help you?"

"Can I have a subscription for the yearly membership?"

"Sure can!" he said, too excited for something so minor. "I'll just need a little bit of your personal information." The guy handed me a form and I began filling everything out. Things such as my name (Larissa Gordon), my date of birth (July 29th), and so on. I handed the form back to him and he asked me to swipe my card. After some fumbling, I found my card in the waistband of my shorts and slid it through the reader. I hit "OK" for all the question it asked, having barely looked at them, and sat patiently. A few clicks of his mouse and the guy had me all set. "Thank you for signing up!" he told me.

"Uh, sure...anytime." I nodded to him. I quickly strode through the doors into the actual gym area and looked around at all the machines. Instead of using a piece of actual machinery like most people, I went to the very back of the room where something caught my eye. It was a big red punching back with pegs stuck into the wall next to it. Each peg held a pair of boxing gloves, and I picked a pair that was all black with a strip of green around the wrist and white palms. I slipped the gloves on, finding that they fit pretty well, and starting with very small punches and a few halfhearted kicks. These quickly progressed to full on murderous punches and kicks that aimed to snap things in half.

I repeatedly did this for about an hour or two...or three. During that time, I found many things that angered me and thought about them as much as possible. After so long, my fists were sore and my legs ached. I could feel sweat running everywhere and immediately felt disgusting. I started searching for a water fountain and found it soon enough. I sucked down probably around a gallon or two of water and realized my gloves were still on. I returned them to their proper peg and exited through the gym doors.

Now that I wasn't in such a hurry to get in and out, I could take a good look at the guy at the counter. The first thing I noticed was his striking blond hair and blue eyes to boot. He had a nice, warm smile and looked to be muscular. I mean, he did work at a gym, right?  He seemed to be a nice guy as well, and I saw that his name tag said 'Hi! My name is: Tristan." He had also drawn a smiley face at the end, which was winking over at me. Suddenly, I realized I had been standing there a little too long, and Tristan was looking expectantly at me. His smile was twitching, as if it had been plastered there for too long.

   "Sorry," I mumbled. "I don't, I , ugh..." I laughed.

   "Need some help?"

"No, thank you though. See ya!'

"Bye! Come back around soon! Don't want to waste that subscription!" he exclaimed.

"Yep!" I replied quickly, feeling a bit like an idiot. You know, just a teeny weeny bit.

I climbed into my car, checked that I had not left anything, and drove back to the grounds. I headed up to my room, tired from lack of sleep and my midnight workout. I stomped around a little bit and found my room key, lazily unlocking the door. Quite randomly, almost causing me to fall backwards on my face, someone grabbed me form the inside and dragged me in.
