Chapter 4

"And the winner of the 450 pros is"

There was silence.

"Jeff McDonald(had a farm)" screeched the announcer.

Jeff had won, riding off the track was Nikki and the mechanic waiting for him.

"You won" Nikki yelled over the Crowd.

"Great job" said the 2nd place rider, who turned out to be Nick Carlson.

"Common jeff, go to the podium" said the mechanic.

Jeff than road to the podium to claim his trophy. than the announcer appeared on the podium and said "great job out there Jeff"

After all the kayos was over Jeff went back to his trailer to get out of his riding gear and in to some nice close. when Jeff came out of the camper, he loaded up the bikes and packed everything up.

Leaving the track, and jumping on route 84 heading home to eastern Florida. After 19 hours of driving they arrived at 19 backbarry road and pulled up to Jeff's huge house. Jeff's house was on a 50 acre of land which included:

Pool

Practice mx track

Practice sx track

Large barn

15 acre of woods with trails

And lastly a field for sports

This all belonged to Jeff Nikki and the mechanic.

Jeff parked the camper, him and Nikki started to unpack, while the mechanic unloaded the bikes in to the barn.

After everything was done, Jeff hopped in to the 450 dozer to groom his tracks. the made each corner and lip perfect. after he was done Jeff settled in for a goods night sleep.

At 630 in the morning Jeff was just coming back from his morning jog. Nikki greeted him with breakfast, the meal for today was a nice warm eggs with toasted bread and bacon.

"This looks like a great meal, thanks" said Jeff

" Connor's (the mechanic) waiting for you in the barn, go there when your done eating. and please bring him some breakfast he hasn't eaten yet" said Nikki

"Ya, I will"

Jeff finished eating and went out to the barn, bringing the breakfast to connor.

"Ummm you wanted to see me?"questioned Jeff

"Yes, oh boy breakfast, yum. ok so some sponsors are coming over to watch you ride, I need you to do a good as you can for me, for you."said connor

"Who's coming?"

"Yamaha, pro circuit, factory connection."

"Those are really good sponsors I hope they'll accept us."said Jeff

"Ya me too, now go get ready they'll be here I an hour"

Jeff than walked to the back left of the barn, there Jeff had a changing area with all his gear, and a bathroom.

Jeff shut the door and wondered what gear to pick. there was the orange and yellow one, or the blue and black and white one, there was a lot of gear and Jeff wanted to loon good In front of the sponsors.

Jeff finally pick a perfect gear to wear, than Jeff stripped down and got changed.

Jeff put on his blue and white Onell gear with his tech 10 boots, also his new Leatt brace and helmet. this gear looked the best on his bike so he wore it.

Jeff still had a while so he went to talk to connor.

(N=Nikki, c=connor, j=Jeff)

J- " hey"

C- "hi, good gear choice"

J- "thanks"

N- "hey Jeff some people are here to see you"

C- "good luck Jeff I'll be out in a min"

J-"ok"

"Nikki can you bring the guest to the mx track"said Jeff.

"Yup" replied nikki. Jeff went in to the barn and grabbed his bike. Bringing it out side Jeff revved up the bike and drove off to the track.

When Jeff had arrived at the track he saw all the future sponsors waiting for jeff, Jeff took his first lap and was gaining speed through each turn he took. by the third lap Jeff was up to 1:02 minute lap times.( not bad for a 1.5 mile track) the sponsors were impressed.

Jeff still getting faster and flying over the jumps pulled a 56 second lap time. Jeff did 5 more laps and pulled off the track to the sponsors.

(Sponsor 1 - s1. J- Jeff

Sponsor 2 - s2. N- Nikki

Sponsor 3 - s3. C- Connor)

N- "good job you pulled a record lap time"

C- "well done"

J- " so what did you sponsors think"

S1- "I'm impressed, you did an excellent job"

S2- " amazing job, but the race last week if I sponsor you I don't want to see another race like that"

S1- " I don't think anyone of us do"

S3- " well all I can say is that you did good and I respond to you when I can, goodbye"the third sponsor walked away and drive off in his car.

What was that, thought Jeff

S1 - "well I'll talk to my boss and I might see you soon again"

S2- "well I'm going to get going too, I'll keep in touch"

J- "bye"

The other 2 sponsors walked away.

J- "what was with the 3rd sponsor?"

C- "no clue he just walked away"

N- "he looked very interested when you were riding"

Jeff went back to the barn and got back into his running close and went on a few mile jog. during this time Jeff thought about what he did wrong or what he should have done.

When Jeff came back connor was talking to someone on the phone, Jeff sat and listened to connor.

"........Just walked away... what?.... No..... I know what your......ok fine!..." Connor slammed the phone down.

"Sh!t"

Sorry it took so long for this chapter to come out, I am busy with school stuff. I hope over the summer I will have more time to work on the book, but un till than. bye!
