Zabrinas diary

3. - real life

3 months later:
"Zabrina!" A voice came from the entrance to my new cage. I popped my head up to see the nice lady with food in her hands. I smelt the meat and raced over to her. I immediately sat.
"Good girl!" the lady known as Cherry smiled, petting my head. She told me to lay down and roll over so I did then I got my food. I starvingly grabbed it and raced up my tree. I looked out at some of the other cats in their cages. Their was only about ten cats in the back were they kept the cats that didn't like humans. They kept us off tour but hopefully some day I would be able to go see the humans but for now I was stuck in this crummy cage. It wasn't that bad though because I have a lovely tree and I could see my brother and Silvia in their cages. The things I didn't like about this cage was that I had almost no shelter, it was dark, you had no were to run, and you couldn't see the humans! (besides the people who were the green shirts and brown shorts.)

I sighed and lay my head down on the tree branch, it gently swaying in the summer breeze. I yawned and watched Silvia curl up for her "evening nap" as she called it. I could communicate with the other cats but they aren't much fun. All they do is lay around and sometimes walk in circles. One, a male puma was blind his name was Jackson, and another was CoCo who was a lovely female tiger who actually loved to play but her deformed leg made it difficult for her. I was perfectly normal and so was Silvia and Raja so I don't know why they put us here. We obviously love humans. I fell asleep at sunset and awoke to see the bright morning sun.
"Wait a second" I mumbled to my self. I could see light and I could see humans. This wasn't my cage! I filled with joy as I seen all sorts of humans. Small, tall, skinny, fat, it didn't matter what mattered waa that I could see humans! I was so glad that I didn't notice a noise in the shadows.
"This is Zabrina! She loves playing and showing off!" I heard the familiar voice before I seen her. It was Cherry my favorite human! She was introducing me to the humans. I jumped down from a big cat tree that they had to have layed me on when I was alseep. I walked over to the fence, sniffing the humans as good as I could but they were backing up.
"And it looks like she's awake!" Cherry said, turning to me. I put my front paws on the fence and the humans oohed and awwed over me. I was so happy I started running in circles.
"Look at me!" I shouted not realizing I did it out loud. Cherry laughed.
"Looks like she's chirping to us!" The other humans laughed and took photos. I stopped when they started walking away.
"Wai- Wait a second!" I meowed at the top of my lungs. I chased them all the way to the end of my new cage but they were now interested in a tiger next door who was just lying there making little grunting noises.

"Are they gone?" A voice spooked Zabrina making her turn around.
"Who's gone? And who are you? Actually were are you?" I chirped. A female black leopard walked out of the shadows.
"Them!" She growled, her muzzle toward the wonderful humans.
"Yeah, but why are you so scared of them?,they're grea-!"
"I don't care what you think, it's because of them that I got locked up my whole life, it's because of them I got whipped every day, and it's because of them that I'm stuck in this god damn place!" The black panther snapped, her fierce golden eyes setting on Zabrinas soft green ones.
"I..I'm sorry" I said quietly. "I didn't know"
"Claudia" The leopard growled, turning onto the cat tree. I looked at her with confusion.
"That's my name" she said flatly while laying down to sleep.
"It means trouble" Claudia hissed before falling into a deep slumber. I shrugged and waited for the next group of humans to come on tour.
