7. real life

I stared at the man who was putting some kind of ointment on my cuts. It stung but I managed to hold in my cry. I kept telling myself that the humans would come for us but now? I wasn't so sure.

When the man left I started getting hungry and very tired but I couldn't so anything about it. A few moments ago I had just watched Silvia almost get beaten to death by a lion named Jake. He was a huge golden lion with fierce yellow eyes and a hard body figure that could knock down a whole tiger. It was becoming night and the rest of the cats had been put in other stalls.

Later I was listening for the sounds outside. I had found no sign, yet, of the humans. I was beginning to lose hope when I heard something. I pricked my ears and looked up. It was not Silvia, it was not Raja. I watched a spotted pelt move swiftly in the rafters above me. I turned around as I felt the cat land behind me. I seen spots again but I had to squint. A huge massive leopard walked out of the shadows. Zabrina couldn't help staring into his eyes. His eyes....they were...were so handsome. A rich gold color that Zabrina could tell had a hint of mystery hiding inside of them. His pelt was golden with black and brown splotches painted all over him. He had a tear in his ear and a small scar across his muzzle. He stared back at me. He twitched his ear and sniffed the air until he finally spoke.
"Who are you?" his voice was rich and deep but caring and concerned. It took me a minute to realize he was talking to me until he waved his paw in my face.
"Oh uh....I um I am trapped in here" I didn't really know how to answer back so I stuttered out a response. He looked at me curiously.
"Ok" he nodded his head slightly then walked closer. I tensed up not knowing what to do. He must have been off balance because right there and then he tripped and fell right into me. He fell on top of me. We stared at each other for a split moment until he broke the silence.
"Oh ugh sorry" he blushed and stepped off me.
"I-it's ok" I was extremely embarrassed and was blushing so hard I thought I looked like I was going to explode. There was an awkward silence until I broke the silence this time.
"So what's your name? I never caught it." I asked.
"Well that's because I never threw it." I was extremely intreged in his humorous voice and awkwardly laughed.
"Any way my name is Kane" Kane walked toward the stall. He muttered to his self then turned to me.
"Well you're a leopard and ya' know how to climb so lets go" He started climbing the wall. I followed but kept sliding but managed to get to the rafters with our breaking a paw.
"We'll go unlock these stalls" He said to me, jumping down and landing in the fighting ring. He started picking the lock with his claw and I copied him until all of the cats were free.

I was about to run out of the building until I knocked a bucket over. Kane and I froze, looking over at the sleeping man that was suppose to stay gaurd. He snorted then popped his eyss open. He spotted Kane and me and we took of like a shot but before we could make it all the way out we heard a gun being loaded. The man pulled the trigger. Kane shouted.
"NO!" he swirved to the right and knocked me down suddenly. I gasped as I seen his body laying there on the ground. A bullet hole through his flank but before I could check if he was ok he got up quickly, he nipped me to tell me to follow and we took off around the building, escaping into the woods. We seen the other cats and I ran to Silvia and Raja.
"Were is Cole?" Silvia suddenly asked. We heard a shrik of terror and a gun shot. I ran to the noise and I stopped abruptly, Kane running into me. Cole was lying on the cold woods ground, dead. He had his right hind leg caught in a trap and a bullet hole through his side. His wide yellow eyes were staring at us motionless and seemed frozen with terror.

So I just randomly wanted to know what u think of this chapter and what u think of Kane.
