"I'll take your order now sir." I said to a man who stood in the back of a line. He nodded and stepped over to my lane.

"Hey hey hey!" a loud, Californian voice said along with thr jingling bell on the door. "We're here!"

"Wesley, sit down and shut up."

The dark-haired surfer boy laughed at my command and took a seat along with his brother and their best friend.

"You were saying sir?" I tried to get back to the task at hand, but Wes kept making faces at me. I snickered as the man I was helping tried to speak.

"Oh, oh I'm sorry." I apologized again. I made eye contact with Keaton and he crossed his eyes and stuck out his tongue.

"Hey look, if you're not going to pay attention I'll go somewhere else." The man was getting really irritated with me.

" I really am sorry. Just continue." I was blushing and trying to keep my cool while the troop persisted in their battle to make me loose my customer.

   "Your total is seven-eighty four."

"Thanks." He snatched his bag up and left.

I shook my head and stepped out from behind the counter, heading to the table where the most mishevious threesome sat, trying to destroy me.

"You three can't possibly be here right now." I said

"Yes Bree-Bree, you're halucinating." Drew said.

I laughed. "Give me a break. You three know you can't be here while i'm working. You nearly made me loose that last guy."

"And why can't we be here?" Wesley looked up at me, his brown eyes twinkling.

"Haha, did you not just hear that last sentence?"

There was a loud chirp coming from Drew's pocket that he whipped out and answered.

"Alright....okay....thanks, bye." he said then hung up. "It was Kasee. He said the lines are open.

"Lines for what?" I looked at all three of them.

"Auditions for The X-Factor. We're going today." Keaton answered.

"What? You're finally going to do it?" I smiled really wide. "I told you to take me advice!"

"We still got a lot to do before anything real happens." Keaton stood and, even though he was older than me by only a few months, he still nearly towered over me. Well, a few inches taller.

"Alright. Well, we'll see you." Keats wrapped his arms over me.

"Good luck!" I said into his warm chest. He smelled like salt-water and sun.

"See ya' Bree!" Wes waved bye as he and the others left out the door.

    "Bye!"

I went back behind the counter and was waiting for the next customers when I saw the boys getting into their car across the street. Keaton was getting ready to squeeze behind his brother when he saw me and smiled. I couldn't help but get butterflies.

I saw their car pull away as the next customrt came to the counter.

    Good luck Emblem3, good luck.
