Kimiko

A soft hum drifted into her ears. No the melody wasn't fast but slow to hear each drum beat and chanting. Kimiko slowly opened her eyes to a white space. White columns, white hallways, white sky, and most of all people dressed in white. Now she could not say for certain that this is normal but slowly as she looked around, the melody that she had soothe her to a safe place started to get louder and more rambunctious. The columns and the hallways were turning into ruins but not the ruins anyone has thought to be. Red writing appeared down the hallway.

"Why did you kill your own father?"

"Don't you see, she is clearly a murderer."

"How is she still walking among us?"

Even carefully into her own song, it shouted that she did it. She said not a single word about it. Heck, no one would even believe the words coming out of her mouth. As a result, she jolted up, holding her head while tiny beads of sweat came down. Why, out of all of the nights, this nightmare returned? She turned her head to the left to see the glowing 7:40 am on the screen.

Yawning, she literally forced herself to get up just to put on her clothes. She looked in her closet to pull out her favorite shirt, the silver hearted hoodie. She placed three ribbons with the colors of silver, red, and gold in her flowing white hair so she could say she at least did something with her head. She then put on her jeans and her mask. As odd as it may seem, this mask and her yang necklace is all that she could worry about. They were life to her. Rushing out of the door, she donned on her mask to the school, hearing her mother shouting from miles away.

The first thing she heard as she arrived on school grounds was about something they named The Flash. Curious, she made herself seem spaced out by staring just in front of her. "Have you heard? The Flash stole another thing today. The police officers couldn't even catch up with her." She didn't even want to pinpoint whose voice it was because it was that squeaky and annoying. The one who she named the Gossip Girl or Pinky is exactly who she meant. "I mean I would love to meet it. I want to keep it with me and steal for me." Kimiko actually shuddered at the thought of Gossip Girl hollering at this person to bring her gems and what-not. "I hope that never happens to that person."

With that she headed inside to be on the school's roof. It was the only place that she could be alone from the world. The teachers already passed her for the year and years to come to not see her.

Her mind pulled up the gruesome scene and made her shudder. The ground and the walls was soaked with his blood. The weapon, a sword passed from his generation to generation, laid behind him covered in blood as the killer ran away. He gave his last smile to her as she had tried her very best to not bawl her eyes out.

"You will be fine." He coughs up blood and she just could not accept it. "Before I sleep, could you hum me a song?" All she could do was nod and hum softly into his ear, while struggling to not cry in front of him. It was the last time she ever sung or hummed. It was her nightmare that had to returned back. It made a lasting impression upon her. She placed her hand on her mask to pull it off to reveal her dark almond eyes that was nearly filled to the brim with tears threatening to fall.

As time went by, she placed the mask back on. She did not even check her schedule to know where she was supposed to go which was apparently Gym. Instead, she decided to walk slowly down the stairs from the roof to the first floor of the school. As Kimiko carefully walked down each step, murmurings seemed to be heard once again. She walked past the students who were skipping to hear about a new student. A new student here at the most strangest school to ever be enrolled in? Was this person crazy?

Not even questioning it anymore, she walked towards the doors to Gym. She stared at the coach, who actually stopped mid-sentence in what Kimiko thinks is a rant, but then walked past her to sit on the bleachers to be far away from everyone in that class. "Oh Miss Murderer came in class for once!" She can only give out silence. The killer ran away but what can she say now? She took out a sketchbook and started to draw small circular things with huge eyes which soon turned into cats. Responding will only cause more fire so being quiet is the only way to go. She turned away from the class.

It was nothing more than a ruse to get her worked up again. Last time, she left school in the middle of the day just be alone. Anything, just anything can make her break but instead she forces all of her feelings down. "It means nothing so bear with it." She whispered to the sketch before closing it. She looked down at the ground being curious about insects and things like that. After what felt like fifteen minutes later, she walked out to take the stairs back up to the roof. Her steps rang with frustration. "Why won't anyone hear what I have to say?" She mumbles to no one. After all, silence is her only friend. Being outside, she sat by a wall and looked out before sleeping lightly.

Isabelle

"Hey! Stop her!" The angry shop keeper yelled at officers from behind me, I could hear them chase me. All of this over a loaf of bread and a cantaloupe? I dive through the crowd, running for my life. I could hear the officers push people out the way to bring me in and chop off my hand for stealing. Hey, if you were poor and on the streets you would do the same.

I looked behind me to see five angry officers closing in, I turn to see five more coming towards me. Quickly thinking I move to the right and jump into an open window next to me and roll into a room where a family is eating. I tilt the end of my hood as an apology and run past them and out their back door just as the officers barged their way in. How rude, they didn't even knock.

Hopping the fence I ran into a moving crowd and blended right in. I took down my hoodie and let my black hair out of it's ponytail and fall down my back. I walked with the crowd for about 10 minutes before parting my way down an alley. Checking my bread and fruit in my satchel I began climbing the long rope up into a window of an abandon building. Inside was my home, well what I call a home at least. Pillows and cloths on the floor, an old mattress, a dirty mirror and a few clothes. Nothing was mine. Everything is what I took at one point in time. The only thing that was mine was the yin necklace I always wore inside my shirt.

I walked to the mirror, rubbed it a bit and looked at myself. My skin tanned by the brutal sun, my grey tired eyes, my dark midnight messy hair that fell down to my back, my full yet parched lips, I really did look like someone who lived on the streets their whole life.

I headed to my mattress that was facing out to the window and opened my satchel to eat my winnings. I looked out the window and watch the sky I took a bite of my bread. Ah French bread. Still fresh. I took out my knife and cut the cantaloupe and scrape the seeds out the window. Yup, fresh. I ate my breakfast while watching the a flock of birds fly across the sky. I think its time I enroll myself in school.

After changing my hoodie to a clean one, I head towards the high school. I been home schooled till the end of the junior year studies. Walking into the front office I quickly enrolled into the school, after getting a few questions and stares from the school board, the counselor gave me my schedule and sent me on my way. I walked down the hallway and earned myself a few stares from other and heard Flash multiple times. Huh, didn't realize there was so many superhero fans, high school seems easy already.

My first period was gym, lucky me. I sat on the bleachers waiting for the coach to come out. There was many stares and murmurs. Well that's a bit annoying. Saved by the whistle. I would say coach but I really didn't know what it was. Who knew that a woman could have such big muscles and a mustache and still look like a girl. She blew her whistle again.

"Alright ladies time for hell to start. We will be playing volleyball today you are gonna try your damn hardest that your team don't lose or you'll be running a mile." She looked around the room and saw me and I just grinned and wave at her. "Oh look what we have here, fresh meat? Or someone so stupid to not dress out to my class." Some of the students laughed. I answered the shemale, "Actually no, I just enrolled today but thanks for asking. Name is Isabelle."

"Well Isabelle seems you need an example of how to act in my class. Run a mile around the gym now." I shrugged and got up and ran the mile. Two minutes later I was done and seemed like I just walked across the street peacefully. Sitting down seems like Coach Shemale was picking on another student.

"Oh Miss Murderer came in class for once!" The girl was wearing a mask covering her face, white long hair and a white hoodie. She said nothing and sat down and started doodling. The coach blew her whistle and called out two names for captains who started auctioning us off. Of course I was last. No point in describing but my team won. After the game was over I left the gym and explored the school. Ending up on the roof where the girl with the mask was. Well this will be interesting.
