Chapter 2

Isabelle & Kimiko

Isabelle walked up to where Kimiko was about 5 feet away, "Hey there."

Kimiko snapped her eyes opened and looked up at the voice. "Someone actually found her here? Is this a prank?" She thought and gave a slight nod.

Isabelle gave a slight smirk to the quiet girl and looked beyond the roof. "Got a pretty nice view from here. What do you think?" Kimiko turned her head away as if it would kill her to see someone new. "Why do you want to know? What do you want to know about me?" She talks in a soft tone.

Isabelle raises an eyebrow and shrugs, "Alright the jig is up. I'll just go ahead and ask ya. What's ya name and why do you wear a mask? Unless that's too personal then I don't mind not knowing."

Kimiko fell silent as if that could answer the question that was put out. She did not want to put either her last name nor the reason she keeps the mask on. "What if I don't want to answer either?"

"That's fine too." Isabelle held out a hand. "My name is Isabelle."

"Well then Isabelle, it was nice to know you but I have to leave so bye." Kimiko got up and walked towards the stairs.

"Wait!" Isabelle walked after her. "You shouldn't worry about what anyone says about you. I don't know what happen before I got here but whatever you do don't give into people. It gives them satisfaction."

Going down the stairs quickly even though she heard those words, Kimiko started to look around frantically. "Someone please tell me that this is a prank." She mumbles. As if it was a message from some divine being, she ran outside. The mask was the only thing she did not want to talk about. She panted loudly and looked up. This mask....this mask is his too.

Isabelle appeared in front of the anxious girl. "Whoa there, didn't mean to offend you. Also this isn't a prank. It's fine if you don't want to talk about it we did just meet and all. All I'm saying is don't let people get to ya." Isabelle pulled her necklace out her shirt and played with it a little while she talk. When she was done she looked up to the sky telling the time.

Looking at the necklace Isabelle had, Kimiko just stood there spacing out. This necklace seemed familiar but at the same time she had started to back away from her. "Look I have to go home. Okay?" She took her eyes away from Isabelle's necklace and started to walk home. Either she will change or just don't talk to her anymore.

Isabelle sighed and begun walking home. So much for trying to make a friend. Pulling her hoodie up, she turned the corner running smack dabbed into two cops that were chasing her this morning who clearly recognized her. "Ah hell." With that she ran past the girl in the mask and a group of students and out of sight with the cops yelling after her.

Kimiko did not hear anything but loud thudding of shoes and it sounded like it came from anywhere. As soon as she saw Isabelle, she just tilted her head and turned around with bad timing and closing her eyes. Something actually smacked right into her and she fell on her butt. The only thing that she can hear was the dropping of something plastic, which she identified as the mask.

"Where is that girl?" A male voice spoke while the other man looked down upon her. "Its...its that ch-child." She opened her eyes to see that the mask she wore was a few feet away. "Look away from its eyes!" He yells at the other scurrying away. "Abort mission! Abort mission!" She blinked and rubbed her eyes. Something like this always happens to her so she was used to it.

Isabelle watched as the cowardly police ran away from the girl, from a tree above. She jumped down and picked up the girl's mask, dust it off, and kneeled eye leveled to the girl and looked her in the eye. "I'm sorry about that, I gotten into some trouble this morning...I don't see what they're talking about your eyes look fine." She didn't want to admit it but the girl look awfully a lot like her, except her eyes were a lot darker and she had white hair. Freaky how much they look alike.
