Lovesick Fool (A Kirito Love Story)

Prologue

(Kayaba Akihiko's POV)

The air was very warm. Who knew that it could be such beautiful weather in Ireland. A dear friend of mine told me that Ireland is a beautiful place with waterfalls and forests in the fall. So, I traveled to this beautiful country to get sketch some drawings for my game, Sword Art Online. Anyway, I walked around finding beautiful landscapes until I heard a sound, like a twig being broken. Being curious, I followed what sounded like footsteps, running in the opposite direction. I stopped, only to find a beautiful brown horse by a waterfall. I quickly draw what I see and then I see a little girl around the age of 5 I think. She walks up to the horse and starts to pet it. She had blond hair and blue eyes and was smiling as she pet the horse and was also talking to it.
"Hey horsey. How's it going?"She says in a small voice. The horse nudges her and she smiles and pets its nose. I take a step forward but then step in a stick which got the girls attention.
"Who's there??"She asks and I come out.
"I'm sorry if I startled you."I say to her and she looks at me.
"What do you want?"She asks with a smile.
"I was just walking around sketching the forest for a game I'm creating."I say to her and she perked up a little.
"Really? Can I help you!"She says all happy and I smile.
"Sure."I tell her and she giggle.
"Follow me! I'll show you the best places in the forest!"She says and starts to walk. I follow her and she shows me around the forest. I get some good sketches and I look at the girl who is smiling.
"Whats your name?"I ask her and she stops.
"I dont have one."She says to me.
"Why not?"I ask her and she shrugs.
"I was never given a name."She says and I start to think.
"Ok then. I'll call you Evangeline. You like that name?"I ask her and she smiles and nods.
"Yep!"She says to me and I smile.
"Well Eve where to next?"I ask her and she grabs my hand.
"Back to the waterfall. There something I want to show you."Eve says and I nod. We walk back to the waterfall she she leads me to there the water is falling from and then lets go of my hand.
"Follow me!"She says and goes behind the water fall. I follow her and there is a cave behind it. I look around and see glowing moss everywhere. Its looks beautiful making the cave glow along with the water flowing through it.
"Wow..."I say and she smiles at me.
"You like it? This is where I live."She says and I look at her.
"You live here? Dont you have a family?"I ask and she looks at me.
"Nope."She says simply.
"Dont you get lonely?"I ask her and she shakes her head.
"No. I have friends but they aren't people."She says and I nod knowing shes talking about the animals.I get the sketch of the cave and see Eve sitting down by the water. I walk over to her and sit next to her. "So, how long have you lived here?" I asked, looking at her. Eve smiled. "Forever,"
My eyes grew wide. I thought deeply. 'This girl is going to die if she doesn't have someone's care. I'm surprised she's made it this far.' I took a deep breath and looked back at Eve, seeing her hand in the water with fish circling her.
"Eve, how would you like to stay with me?" I asked.
Eve smiled widely. "Gee mister, I can?" she asked. I nodded. The little girl smiled and hugged me tightly. "Thank you so much mister." I just patted her back and stroked her hair. "Your very welcome."
