So you mean that the thing that makes magic possible is kept after a glass wall, an easly breakable wall... Seems logical.
Percy pov
My first thought was: Where in Hera am I? I don't curse in Hades' name anymore because he stood by me.
My second thought was: DAM, This place is pretty. Haha Dam... I should contact Thalia and Nico soon.
I stood in a grand construction. It seemed like the underground water reservoir in Rome, only without water and round. In the middle, I saw a white light, trapped in a tube. It moved in there and for a moment, I was held captive in its beauty.
"I see you found the core." A female voice said behind me. I turned around and saw Hecate standing there, smiling. I smiled at her and bowed.
"This is the core of magic? It's protected by a glass wall.""Yes?"
"So you mean that the thing that makes magic possible is kept after a glass wall, an easly breakable wall... Seems logical."
Hecate grinned. "Wizards use magic Percy, they make sure that they never let anything fall. I guess they forgot it's breakable."
I shook my head. Hopeless wizards. No offense, I'm one myself, but really? Forget glass can break?"Lady Hecate?"
She grinned and walked towards the white light.
"You found this place, so you are one of the protectors of the core. The second one should arrive soon.""All nice and so, but where is this place? And what am I supposed to protect?"
She grinned and put her hand in my head. Her hand began glowing and a second later I felt different, like something changed. Suddenly the room started to glow and a familiar redhead appeared.
Ginny pov.
I opened my eyes hesitantly. My eyes scanned the room, looking for Percy. When I saw him I stomped towards him. I hit him in the chest before I hugged him.
"Don't you dare do it again.""I'll try, but it's probably going to happen again."
I hit him laughing. Then I looked properly around the room."Where are we?"
"At the temple of the Draugr.
Hello dear I'm Hecate Clawcloud." À women answered. Clawcloud? They say the first wizard ever was a Clawcloud. She would be a legacy then. I realized I completely missed her when I searched for Percy. She and Percy shared a smile."The Draugr?" I asked carefully.
"They are better known as the Spirit Guardians or the Illusion Defenders. It's a group of four people who defend the core of magic." She pointed at the thing behind her. I froze while watching the white light. Some strands were even golden.
"The Draugr are four people who guard this core. Without the core, no wizards or witches would have any magic. The Draugr consist of two girls and two boys." The women explained."Where are they now?" Percy asked.
Hecate turned somber. She sighed and took us to the back of the room. A grand old book lay there, untouched."They died fighting against the evils last century. All this time, the core of Magic was vulnerable. But you two found the way in. You are two of the four new Guardians."
My mouth fell open. I looked at Percy questionably. He shrugged.
"If you are ready to accept this, you need to touch the core and say the magical wordings. You'll know them, when you're a Draugr. But beware, you can't tell anyone. You'll be able to remember all spells as soon as you learned about them. You will also be able to perform them perfectly. You'll understand ancient runes and you'll be able to use them. For short, you'll be very powerful wizards. But it comes with a price. You'll have to defend the core with all your might, you must be prepared to die for it. But luckily, almost no one knows about the core anymore. They forgot, so I suspect you will live long enough."
