Percy Jackson, Cousin of Black

This train ride is better over soon

"I'm not doing it."

"Oh, come on! Please!"

"No, forget it."

"But 'Moine! I'm hungry."

"Ronald Weasley! We have already stopped the candy lady two times. Just two more hours and we will have a Hogwarts feast!"

"Two hours!"

Harry shook his head in amusement. Those two were always fighting. If they ever got together, in every possible univers there can be. He would tease them forever. He looked around his compartment. Ginny sat whispering with Percy while he was smirking about something and Ron and Hermoine were bickering about something. Neither were wearing uniforms.
Suddenly Harry realized something. During the whole train ride, a certain arrogant git hadn't showed up.

Suddenly the dour flew open. Harry sighed, spoke to soon.

"Well well well, if it isn't Potter with his two followers. Oh and sister of Weasley is also here and a mudblood I  suppose." He spoke.

"Eh sorry? What did you just say?"
The others tried warning Percy by making signs to tell him to stop but he smirked.

"Attitude I see, maybe not a mud blood. What kind of blood do you have?" Malfoy had an evil grin on his face.

"Red, doesn't everyone?" Percy faked a perfect innocent smile. So good, it didn't even look fake anymore.

"Bloody, you're an idiot. Perfect for this gathering of dimwits."

"Rather a gather of dimwits then a stuck up rich kid." The companions of Draco began snickering before giving Percy the evil eye. Hermoine giggled a bit and Ron had a huge smile on his face. Harry looked a but uncertain but smiled as well.

"Do you know who I am?"

"No, is that necessarily?" Percy gave him a cheeky grin.

"My father is very important. I would suggest you give me a little respect. Or I could get you kicked out of this school."
Malfoy snarled.

"No thank you."

"I could get your friends expelled..." before Malfoy could finish his sentence, Percy stood up. His cheeky smile was gone. A dark glare replaced his ones bright eyes. Malfoy stammered. He looked terrified. The golden trio and Ginny looked shocked at each other. They couldn't see Percy's eyes but no one has ever made Malfoy that scared before. Percy walked towards Malfoy and got him out of the compartment. He closed the door after him.

A few minutes later. A smiling Percy came back in and sat down. No Malfoy to be seen.

"Bloody Hell, What did you do?" Ron's eyes shone brightly. "That was the most beautiful thing ever." Before Percy could answer, Hermoine said they should better change into their uniforms because Hogwarts would soon come in view.

A few minutes and a complaining Percy later we stepped out of the train. We all watched Percy excited. But he just looked at it and said that it was one of the most impressive structures he had ever seen. No amazement, no fish face. A little disappointing.

Ginny smiled, seeing her new friend looking so chill about everything. Not ones even making one of his big drama's she was getting used to. She sat at the Griffindor table, scanning the room with excitement in her eyes. Ron, Hermoine, Harry and her were guessing in which house Percy would land.

"Griffindor of course. The lad is bloody ausomne. He stood up against Malfoy." Ginny snickered at her brother.

"Yes he's brave but he used his cunning wits to get rid of Draco, if Draco hadn't insulted us, there wouldn't even have been a stare down. So I say or Ravenclaw or Slytherin." Hermoine guessed. She looked like she knew exactly who Percy was as a person.

"I say Slytherin. He was quite sneaky about when he locked us out of the conversation with Draco." Harry didn't elaborate much. He just got straight to the point. Ginny found herself somewhat disappointed by his lack of enthusiasm.

"I won't say Ravenclaw. He's streetsmart. And can think quick on his feet but he doesn't seem to like learning or living with his head in the books. He has dyslexia as well so... Not Griffindor because he did try for a smart way to get rid of Draco and memorized the situation. He did not respond head first because he was angry without looking at the consequences unlike some I know.."

"Hey, we don't do that!" Ron interrupted. Ginny met his eyes and raised her eyebrow. She made a go on gesture. Telling Ron to give an example. He didn't have an answer. Ginny smirked in victory.

"I'm not sure about Slytherin. He is quite cunning and can be ambitious but he doesn't seem to like to be in the spotlights and I'm not sure he would like power. And I'm also not sure about Hufflepuff. He obviously cares about his friends but he didn't seem to hesitate to fall into action."

The three looked unbelieving in Ginny. She rolled her eyes in response.

While they were discussing this, they missed the song of the hat and jumped about a foot in the air when their table began cheering.

After the sorting, Dumbledore silenced everyone.
"Dear wizards. We have one more to sort. He only came in this year because his mom hid him all his life from our view. She recently told him everything so here he is. He will be joining the fifth years. Please welcome Perseus Jackson!"

Percy seemed to melt from the wall. Everybody gasped when they suddenly saw him, not having noticed him before. He looked like he came from out of the shadows, like he was part of them, giving him a mysterious air. Hushed whispers followed his footsteps. He went towards the hat and sat.

The whole hall became silent. A few minutes everything seemed to pause, so quiet it had become. Till the hat suddenly screamed.

Whispers began again. Almost everyone asked their friends or the older students what happened. Why the hat screamed.

"Silence!" Dumbledore's voice shook the building and everyone fell silent. Looking at the hat with curious eyes.

Then the hat's eyes opened completely and he yelled without hesitation a house.

Of course, what else could it be? Of course Percy would end there. It was perfect.
