Storms

Lightning flashes in the ominous sky,
Signaling the roar of thunder to follow,
Cumulonimbus grey clouds blotting out the moon,
Like a Veil, hiding the beauty of women.
Pitied by the Angels were the fragile humans,
So they showered them with tears.
Angered were the Gods at the blasphemous cities,
Signaled was their ire with thunder and lightning.
Such a frightening sight and sound,
That the renegades rush to seek forgiveness.

The rogue waves tumble and crash onto each other,
Like a meaningless war created by meaningless problems.
They swallow up the helpless souls,
Falling into their watery graves.
Their voices never heard,
As water fills their broken lungs.
Whirlpools sucking in any who crossed paths,
Sending them plunging down to the depths,
Where the Devil has his fun.
The renegades beg for mercy,
None shall they receive,
As they face the wrath of the storms.
