After Basil walked away that day, I thought he had actually agreed on letting me be but he visited me everyday of the entire week I was in the hospital for accompanied by my adorable sister and a bunch of ferrero rochers. Ofcourse, I stuck by my word and denied meeting him even till the last day and then finally, I was out of the depressing place aka the hospital.
Ignoring the week's rest that was advised by my doctor, I decided to go back to college. I avoided sitting idle as this would give my mind, a moment to go back into time which I detested. I was welcomed with bunches and bunches of flowers in college from all my wellwishers and I couldn't thank Allah enough for blessing me with so much love.....if only this amount of love was showered to me from Nayab....

"Myra!!! ", here you go. There comes Basil shouting for me like he is a student and not a teacher in this university. I started speed walking on being called by him but he eventually caught up with me. How am I going to deal with this guy being my teacher? Let's see.
"Basil, don't forget your status in this university. You are a professor whilst I am a student. Let's just not give people a chance to ruin our reputation. Please. I've already had my reputation ruined once, I don't want the same thing happening again. "

Oh my God. Since when has this kidnapper turned good guy become so fun-loving, I didn't even know this side of his ever existed. Well, I glared at him in return and walked away.

"I don't know." "Well, I won't be considering an 'I don't know'as an answer. Since this is a general topic, there is no reason of saying that since there is no right or wrong here. We just want to hear your opinions Myra. I am sorry but we ain't letting you go without answering. It won't be fair to the others."
Wow, he really has learnt how to push my buttons. Frustrated, I finally started speaking. "Unrequited love for me is nothing but another name for pity. Why would you fall for someone who doesn't even bother about your feelings. You should not waste your time dwelling on that person and shower love on someone who deserves it and is willing to accept it instead. As for selfless love, I don't believe it even exists. Apart from the blood relationships, nobody else is going to be selfless for you and make huge sacrifices. All I have learnt in this world is that, it is a selfish place and the sooner you accept it, the better it is. That's it. I have nothing else to say. "

All of us hope that you meet someone who will make you question all these opinions you have formed about love and make you reconsider then and maybe even reform them. All the time he was saying this, his eyes were glued on mine and the intensity of the emotions they held were so dense, that if it were a sea, I would have definitely drowned by now. For those few seconds, everyone else around us seemed a blur and I felt like his eyes had held me captive. I knew what he was implying but I choose to not acknowledge it. After all, he deserves a much more beautiful future than I can ever give him. Ever.
A flirtatious remark made by one of the girls crushing on Basil broke our trance and the class resumed.
