I sighed as I listened to Cody talk about rules and regulations. When I heard the door open a small smile appeared on my face.

"Cody give the girl some slack. I torture her enough." Rex said with a laugh.

"She needs to know these codes." Cody said with a frown.

"She does." Rex said grabbed my arm and dragging me out of the room.

"Where too Sir?" I asked with a smile.

"We have a mission in the Devaron system with Tano and Skywalker." He explained.

I listened as he explained everything and then I let out a sigh as I realized I was stuck with him for the whole mission.

"Sir with all do respect how can I rise up in the ranks if I am stuck with you?" I asked with a sigh.

"Easy I tell you if you rank up. You can't do that if you're dead." Rex said walking away.

"Oh I hate him." I said as I ran after him.

We made it to the Devaron system where we made plans to board a Star Destroyer and made our way to find the bounty hunter Cad Bane. A fight starts and I sigh as Rex stays close to me. After a hour Ahsoka and Anakin come back into the hanger and I let out a sigh of relief as we board the escape ship and get back to our ships. I sighed as I lean against the wall.

"That was.....eventful." I said with a sigh.

Rex let out a chuckle as I sent him a smile. When we landed I gave him a pat on the back before leaving the ship. I made my way to my room and laid down on the bed. I heard a beep come from the door and groaned before sitting up and opening the door.

"Ahsoka what's up?" I asked leaning against the door.

"I failed this mission." She said sadly.

"Come on in sis." I said moving out of her way.

She walked inside and set on my bed. I sighed as I set beside her. She told me about what had happen and after awhile she fell asleep and I left to get something to eat. I smiled as I saw Rex talking to Skywalker.

"Sir may I talk to you?" I asked softly.

"Of course." He said with a small smile.

We walked away from Rex and I took a deep breath.

"Sir this is about Ahsoka..... this mission hit her hard. I was wondering if you could talk to her later and... see how she is doing." I said softly.

"Thank you for bringing this to my notice. I knew she was having some trouble but..... I didn't know if she would want to talk about it." He explained.

"She is a private person but she will talk when you pry." I said with a smile.

"Are you like that Anya?" He asked with a smirk.

"What do you mean sir?" I asked confused.

"What's going on with you and Rex?" He asked leaning against the wall.

"Nothing sir." I said calmly.

"Then why does he keep you at his side all the time and when I give a order for you to go with another group of clones he goes against it and sends someone else?" He asked as he smirk got bigger.

"Because he doesn't think I can handle the mission sir."

"Or Rex is in love with you..... and if he is and you love him too..... I wouldn't say anything if a secret relationship happen." He said with a wink.

"You mean like you and Senator Amidala?" I asked with a smirk.

"I have no idea what your talking about." He said walking away with a laugh.

I smiled softly as I left to get ready for training with Cody and I smiled as I saw him ready to ask me codes. I laughed as I got all of them right and then some he hadn't told me.

"Why did Rex even want you to have this training?" He asked shocked.

"Cause he likes torturing me." I said with a smile as the door open.

"Rex why have me train her when she knows all of this?" Cody asked confused.

"Let's talk outside." Rex said calmly.

As they walked out of the door I snuck over to it and listened into their conversation.

"I don't know if she can remember them quickly so I want her to stay in training so she hears it over and over again." Rex said softly.

"Do you not think she is good enough?" Cody asked confused.

"I just don't want her to have a meaningless death." He said softly.

The door open and I glared at Rex.

"Commander Cody I need to have a word with Captain Rex." I said as anger boiled up inside of me.

"What do you want to talk about Trooper?" He asked as Cody left.

"Meaningless death and not good enough, With all due respect sir! I am a grown woman and I can protect myself!" I snapped at him.

"I only want to make sure that Padawan Tano doesn't lose her sister."

"Skywalker has ordered you several times to let me go with another group of troopers and you go against it! I don't need you to protect me!" I yelled.

"Well I didn't ask to work with a weak woman!" He snapped.

I looked at him shock and he froze up. I regained my sincere and felt a tear fall.

"Then I won't make you work with a weak woman." I said walking away.

I walked down the hall to find Master Kenobi.

"Master Kenobi, May I talk to you?" I asked stopping in front of him.

"Of course." He said softly.

"I want to switch to your team sir." I said softly.

"May I ask why?"

"Captain Rex is not allowing me to work to my full extent. He is holding me back because I am a woman." I explained.

"Alright, I will allow you to see if you like my team, you can leave if you decide to." He said with a smile.

"Thank you sir." I said saluting him.
