The cold November morning of 1993 wrapped New York City in a frost blanket. At the Grand Central Station, most people are taking Amtrack trains to different cities, and their breath is visible in the crisp air, among them is Eldo Nim a man with average stature,green eyes with a sad look, and a heart full of expectation. He clutched the hand of his nine-year-old son, whose wide blue eyes sparkled with excitement as they saw through the crowd of people.They reached the platform as the train pulled in, once aboard they found their seats by a window, It's a special journey, they will reunite with his wife Rita in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The soft hum of the train leaving the station made Eldo recall the desire that he and his wife had to raise their son in the United States, a land of opportunity. This idea lingered in their hearts, so, they envisioned Worcester City where their son could chase his passions freely. a place where he could thrive and grow.
While watching his son taking a nap, he also recalls how much they worked tirelessly since he was born on March 12, 1985. They worked together hand in hand to create a life they could be proud of, they shared a determination to open a school business, and they ran it for almost ten years, so, they saved enough money to move to the United States, to fulfill their dream to bring up him in a better country.
The little boy wakes up and gaze at the passing world, grey skyscrapers giving away to white hills and bare trees.After some hours on the track, they disembarked in Worcester, they took a cab home and Eldo felt a rush of emotions, happiness, and joy, soon he will meet up Rita,to be gathered around a table with home-cooked meals.
