Hoseok walked into his local community center at exactly 3:30 pm. Classes didn't start until 4:00 but Hoseok likes to at least give himself 30 minutes of practice before the actual class began. Those kids wouldn't show up until 10 minutes past 4 anyway. He walked into the big practice area that was used for recreational purposes. It was completed with big overhead lights, a shiny wooden floor that had just been buffed this morning, and a wall that had a big mirror that covered the majority of it.
Hoseok went to the nearest wall to plug in his amplifier and then connected his phone to it. He practiced a few songs until about 4:00 as he saw his class starting to walk in. He usually taught after school classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He would also teach early morning classes on Saturday every other weekend. When he wasn't teaching dance he would be at his other job. It was a small restaurant further into town. He always worked the breakfast shift from 6 to 2. Having two easy jobs and getting tips helped pay the bills so he had nothing to complain about. Yet.
After class Hoseok packed up his stuff as he got ready to head out and go home for the day. He decided to stop at the grocery store on the way home to get some things to cook for dinner. He wouldn't call himself the best cook in all of South Korea but he deemed himself pretty decent. No one can make scrambled eggs like Jung Hoseok.
He decided to make kimchi fried rice (his favorite) for dinner tonight. After paying for his items he drove back home for the night. He unlocked the door to an empty but clean apartment. Just because he lived by himself doesn't mean he has to be a complete slob. He brought the groceries in and sat them on the counter. Before he got started he turned on the tv in the living room so he could have some sort of background noise. He hated for it be too quiet.
It hadn't always been this quiet. Up until 5 months ago Hoseok's best friend/roommate Kim Seokjin had lived here. They moved in when they were 19 and 21 respectively. They got along pretty well. They never fought about anything. The rent was always paid on time. Whenever one of them needed to talk the other was always there to listen.
While he was living there, Jin had found love with what Hoseok considers a keeper. After 5 years of dating, Jin decided to finally tie the knot and is now married to Kim Namjoon. Shortly after getting married, Jin moved out of the apartment and into a new house with Namjoon. Hoseok had been invited to the wedding and although he was initially happy for the newlyweds he couldn't help but be sad that his best friend was moving out. Jin told him that he could visit anytime he wanted and that he will always be his best friend.
Hoseok finished cooking the kimchi fried rice (the kimchi had already been prepared) and sat down on the small dining room and ate. After he finished he cleaned the kitchen and eventually himself and got ready for bed. As he walked into his bedroom he spotted a stuffed animal in the corner. It was a blue horse. The head made it look like it was wearing a mask. Hoseok had won it at a fair last year and named it Mang. For some reason looking at it made Hoseok feel warm and fuzzy inside. He grabs Mang and climbs into bed with it. He cuddles the stuffed horse and drifts off to sleep.
