"O Allah! Give me light in my heart,
And light in my tongue,
And light in my hearing,
And light in my vision,
And light from the above, place light beneath me,
And light from my right, and light from my left,
And light from my front, and light from my back,
And give light in my soul, And make the light great for me,
And make the light great for me, And make me light
  And make me light,
O Allah give me light,
And light in my nerves, And light in my flesh,
And light in my blood, And light in my hair,
And light in my skin,
O Allah give me light in my grave, And light in my bones,
And magnify the light for me,
And magnify the light for me,
And magnify the light for me,

And keep giving me light over light."

Sitting on the praying mat at the time of fajr, she was still reciting her morning prayer when she heard the front door opened. She stood up folding the praying mat and headed downstairs. Smiling, she looked at her husband who was taking his coat off. She tiptoed and kissed him on the cheek.

"Assalamu Alaikum habibti." He beamed wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Walaikum Assalam." She answered hugging him.

"Is mum and dad asleep?"

"Yeah they went sleep after praying and having breakfast." She told him as she went to the kitchen to make breakfast for herself and her husband. He came from the mosque after prayer so she knew he was hungry.

Whilst making breakfast, she recited few verses of Holy Quran to praise Allah and then recited durood to praise our Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him.

Ya Allah you are the greatest. Forgive me, forgive my family and make us all from those who loves you and puts you before everything else. Ya Allah give me and my family, hidayah and long, healthy life. Ya Allah bestow us with your blessings and forgive us for the sins we thought were small but they were big in your eyes and forgive us for the sins we did without knowing. Ya Allah! I seek refuge in you from severe trials and hardships, to be overtaken by wretchedness, bad fate and the rejoicing of the enemies.

She was cut off by her husband. Standing behind her, he wrapped his hands around her waist and rubbed her belly. She smiled and looked at him as he propped his face on her shoulder.

"Let me make breakfast." She said trying to get away from him but he held her close.

"Let me!" Grasping the spoon from her hand, he gently pushed her to the side. He rolled the sleeves of his shirt and started mixing the ingredients of omelette aware of his beautiful wife watching him all the time.

They had their breakfast together and talked about their baby which was soon going to become a part of their family as the bride was eight months pregnant.

It was their first baby and they both were excited. Conceived in the first month of marriage, the pregnancy itself was big surprise for both of them. They were cousins and Fareed loved her so their parents decided to marry them off. Waniya was twenty two when she got married to Fareed who was three years older than her.

"I need to go out to see one of my friend, he is ill and he has no one who can take care of him." He told her as he helped her to wash the dishes. She nodded and smiled telling him to go. He kissed on her forehead as he wiped his hands on the apron he was wearing and headed upstairs to get the car keys.

When he came downstairs, he saw her standing near the front door with his coat in hands. He stood in front of her and gave her his back so she could put the coat on. She liked doing it and he loved doing what she liked. He spun on his heels after putting the coat on and lightly pecked her on the lips before opening the door and leaving.

She watched his car leaving the drive way and suddenly she felt like calling him back and asking him to stay but she shook her head at how silly would that look. He would be home soon. His friend needs him was what she thought. Little did she know that it was the last time she was seeing her husband.
