I.

Our history, the Originator's history, as well as the Earth's history was in a virtual diary I created right from the beginning. It was to guarantee we would never forget. We were all part of a single group, the Prototypos. Then Z and June assigned us to either Group 1 or Group 2. Our eventual monikers, the Originators and the Untouchables, grew from the eventual outcome of our grand experiment. From the start there was a certain competitiveness the two groups brought to the project. We had to create a back-up home, if ours ever failed. At the start, our two groups tried to work together cooperatively.

It's just that as our creativity, powers, minds grew and expanded the two groups saw the evolution and development of this second possible home differently, as it turned out. That's when a schism, in an infantile state, grew into a monstrous, uncrossable chasm.

This is my explanation to Laura, how her home was potentionally be our home. I include the details of how it might not be anybody's home once the Untouchables decided to ruin it for everyone.

Dear Laura:

I know you have many questions about us,

· who are we?

· how did it all begin?

· what is the role you will eventually play in order to keep your/our planet safe?

Right now, it's too dangerous for us to make direct contact with you. We believe the group of defectors, who we call the Untouchables, have sent someone down to monitor you and your work. This individual will be working to sabotage your efforts and successes.

I've tried to remember how things were jump-started and how we essentially have come to this place. It might not all be clear and a cohesive telling of our story. Please have patience with the narrative.

Here we go...

"Come in, come in, don't be shy. You're here now, do find a seat. Our group, Group 2 is small; Let's get through introductions so we can get down to the business at hand."

I stand at the front of the room, waiting for the five to enter the oval room. The room's moniker, the "Egg" is where the best ideas are born. I smile when I consider which truly comes first. The room's shape or the outpouring of ideas? It doesn't matter.

Five find their seats at the table: Od, Tara, Minnie, Tem, and Neth.

"We have been selected to head Project Number 5118208. It is a most important project. The good thing is, we're up to it. We are a diverse group, and boast eons of experience. Note, we are not coming into the project at its inception. You are aware we will innovative, originate. Entry-level ideas are unacceptable. The new work will be taking place in parallel with an analysis of what's already been done. Caveat: let's be mindful of the fact we are preparing the project for its final launch."

I continue, "Points to consider, there's a Group 2. We know who they are. They are looking at 5118208 differently than we are. They are coming in to build the history of the planet, its back-story, and embark upon gradual experimentation with sub-species. We are tasked with the holist's approach and to create the main species that's best aligned with us. Meaning if we had to blend in, we could. If we have to rule them, we could. Remember this, we are not hoping, nor expecting we will end up on this new planet. It's our Plan B home."

I finish. I look at everyone. Some have a hard time meeting my eyes. My eyes are somewhat unnerving, even with those I have known for years. I inherited silvery, almost white corneas; this is especially apparent with any refraction of light upon my eyes. Everyone turns away from me, as at times I appear to have empty eye sockets.
