Biography

•	Have always been writing and drawing since I can remember because it allows me to breathe and be.
•	Write poetry, short stories, novellas, another book about the twists and turns life offers up, a massive autobiography about working at a college, and continue to write about those who use technology to transform themselves into heroes, villains, or both.  I still design and draw fashion designs because I can.
•	Earned two degrees from the University of Washington  in English Literature/history and secondary teaching. Earned a Master's degree from UW in leadership and policy analysis (College of Education).
•	Work at a college in Washington state, United States and focus on information disruptive technology research and degrees.  I've been researching, writing about, talking about (in podcasts and presentations), how disruptive technology will change the landscape of our current understanding of how life works forever.
•	An interest in science fiction, technology, how it can warp reality, and how people do things every day to defy norms leading to a more interesting possibility, whether real or imagined, drives me.
•	My father is from Belfast, so my many trips to Northern Ireland, and his free-range parenting had me foraging at an early age among films (silent, black-and-white, every genre, adult-material included (no "R" stuff) and that includes television. He took me to 2001: Space Odyssey at the age of six for my birthday - nope, he wanted to see the film, and it freaked me out. Throwing us out into nature was natural, and experimentation into all of the highs and lows of being human was just how it was going to happen.  Without him, my imagination would have been stifled by teachers at a very early age.
•	And, I'm oddly happy because I can be, and I can breathe...and, we loop back.
